Note:  Cemetery records shows he was a civil war veteran CO D 15 US Inf and 
gives his date of birth August 6, 1847 and date of death February 25, 1920

Death certificate shows Benjamin Lewis Hines was the son of Asa Hines and 
Octavia Woolworth, male, white married, retired, born August 6, 1847 Medina, 
NY and died on February 25, 1920 St. Louis, Gratiot Co., MI at the age of 72 
years 6 months and 19 days, cause of death acute bronchitis. Informant Mrs. 
Lois A. Hines, St. Louis, Mich.  Burial was on February 27, 1920 St. Louis, 
Mich.
