Military headstone located in Veteran's Section

CPL US ARMY
VIETNAM
APR 19, 1948 - JULY 22, 1988

Note:  Hermman Anthony Jewell was the son of Herman P. Jewell Sr. and Letha 
Fay (Swartz) Jewell.  He married Nancy Lee Komperda on January 13, 1967 in 
Saint Louis, Gratiot Co., MI.  They were the parents of three children, two 
boys and one girl. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army as a Corporal serving in 
Vietnam.  While serving in the U.S. Army, he received the Purple Heart, four 
Bronze Stars, an Army Commendation Medal and a Vietnam Service Medal. He was a 
member of the V.F.W. in Alma, MI.  His occupation was factory worker for Buick-
Oldsmobile-Cadillac in Lansing, MI for 7 1/2 years,  He passed away at a young 
age of 40 years.
