Note: Death certificate shows that Charles Rooks was the son of David Rooks 
and Martha Beckwith, male, white farmer, born July 13, 1839 NY and passed away 
January 31, 1913 St. Louis, Gratiot Co., MI at the age of 73 years 6 months 
and 17 days, cause of death apoplexy, cerebral.  Informant Charles Rooks Jr. 
Breckenridge, MI.  Date of burial February 2, 1913 St. Louis, Mich.

Death certificate shows Sarah Carolina (Vliet) Rooks was the daughter of 
Nathan Vliet and Sarah Jewell (both of NJ), female, white, married, married at 
age 20 parent of 4 children, 4 living, housewife, born May 31, 1839 Oakland 
Co., MI and passed away October 29, 1909 Bethany Township, Gratiot Co., MI at 
the age of 70 years 5 months and 30 days, cause of death apoplexy.  Informant 
Charles Rook Breckenridge, MI.  Burial was on October 31, 1909 St. Louis, 
Gratiot Co., Mich.

William B. Harris enlisted at age 33 as a Private in St. Louis, Gratiot Co., MI
on 16 Aug 1861 and survived the war.  He enlised in Company C, 8th Michigan 
Infantry Regiment on 23 Sep 1861.  Mustered out on 17 January 1862.
