Note:  Family tree sources show that Josiah Russ was the son of Hezekiah and 
Polly (Sexton) Russ born July 31, 1824 Alma, Gratiot Co., MI and passed away 
December 10, 1889 Gratiot Co., MI.  He married Laura M. Arnold on October 22, 
1863 in Auburn, Geauga, Co., Ohio.  They were the parents of Albert Edward, 
Ida, Nellie and Clarence Russ.

Laura M. Arnold was the daughter of Collins and Laura (Dunwell) Arnold born in 
1845 Ohio and passed away November 24, 1880 St. Louis, Gratiot Co., MI.  

Jonathan Russ was also the son of Hezekiah and Polly (Sexton) Russ and brother 
of Josiah Russ.  His death certificate shows he was born April 18, 1822, 
place ? and passed away May 2, 1903 Newark Twp., Gratiot Co., MI at the age of 
81 years, cause of death apoplexy.
