Family tree sources show he was the son of Philip and Lydia Byington 
(Giddings) Waldorf. He married Emma Philena Fansler on April 16, 1866 in 
Bristol, Trumbull Co., Ohio and they were the parents of Frances Audrie 
(Waldorf) McGuire, Edith B., Gilbert A. and Florence Waldorf. 

Emma P. Waldorf death certificate shows she was the son of John Fasler 
(Virginia) and mother unknown of Vermont, female, white, widow, housewife, 
born June 29, 1840 Ohio and died on april 21, 1916 in Grand Rapids, Kent Co., 
MI at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 23 days, cause of death nephritis and 
vascular disease of heart.  Informant was Mrs. Thomas McGuire.  Burial was on 
April 14, 1916 St. Louis, Mich.  There is no headstone for Emma P. Waldorf.

Son of Gilbert L. and Emma P. Waldorf - died at the age of 11 years 2 months 
and 1 day.  He was born in 1872 and died on April 5, 1883 (cemetery record)
