Hillsdale Whig Standard, March 20, 1849
Dr. Anthony Chevalier - Mr. Wm. Dewey writes us from Scipio, in this county, 
that he has received information to the effect that a fight took place 
recently on S. Cole's plantation, about twenty-one miles from Louisville, 
Kentucky, in which Dr. Anthony Chevalier, formerly of Southern Michigan, was 
killed instantly, by a stab in the neck.  The stab was made by a man by the 
name of John Moore.

We publish the above at the request of Mr. Dewey, for the information of Dr. 
Chevalier's friends, who he is informed live somewhere in Southern Michigan.
