Dec. 4, 1896, from a Hudson newspaper: Capt. G. A. Knickerbocker of
Hillsdale, died of apoplexy Sunday night aged 71. He was the oldest
lawyer in Hillsdale Co. having practiced more than 40 years. He was
Capt. Of the 4th Mich. Inf. & at one time was editor of the Jackson
Patriot.
