He was united in marriage with Gertrude Black, of Jefferson, on December 25, 1894. To them were born four children: Edna Belle, wife of Ward Cook; Ila Grace, who died in 1904 at the age of three years; Grant and Wayne. Mr. Keefer was a member of the Osseo Methodist Episcopal Church, where he served as a member of the official board for many years. The funeral services were held in Osseo on Saturday. Services were held for William Keefer Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the M. E. Church at Osseo. Rev. C. J. Towne officiating. The burial was made in East Hill cemetery. Miss Orpha Johnson and Rev. Jaggers sang two beautiful selections: "Saved by Grace" and "My Father Knows." The pall bearers were relatives. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful.
