A.H. MOREY DIES AT DAUGHTER'S HOME [written in pencil - 1927] North Adams, Jan. 31 - Mrs. A.H. Morey, eighty-eight years of age, passed away Saturday afternoon about 5:30 at the home of her daughter Mrs. A.V. Barker of Adams Township, where she made her home. Mrs. Morey had been an invalid for the past four years, trouble being due to a fractured hip. Phoebe J. Rogers was born April 13, 1839 near Lyons, Wayne County, N.Y.. When she was six years of age she came with her parents to Wheatland Township where she lived for many years. On December 25, 1855, she was married to Amos H. Morey, also of Wheatland Township. Mr. Morey died January 2, 1912. Mrs. Morey is survived by two daughters Mrs Barker and Mrs. Mable M. Chapman of Lansing and two sons Dr. M.A. Morey and Dr. F.E. Morey of Chicago, five grand-children and seven great grand-children. A third son, James Lemuel, died in infancy. Funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Barker on Tuesday at 1:30 Standard time, conducted by Rev. H.E. Wylie of the North Adams Methodist Church of which Mrs. Morey was a member. Interment will be in the Dibble Cemetery in Wheatland Township.
