Mrs Joseph S. Storms. 

Polly Ann Briggs was born in the town of Shelby, Orleans County, N. Y., the 1st day
of December, 1833.  
Removed to Jackson County, Michigan, with her parents at the age of 5 years where
they lived until she 
grew into womanhood.  She attended school at Spring Arbor until the college was
moved to Hillsdale.  
She was united in marriage with Joseph S Storms December 24, 1853.  Two children
were born to them- 
Charles H. who is a resident of this city, and Mary A. Pulver who passed away 21
years ago, leaving two 
little girls whom their grand parents reared from babyhood.  

Two brothers and one sister survive her: Darius H. Briggs and Mary A. Baker of this
city and Orin G. 
Briggs of Toledo, Ohio.  An aged husband is left alone after nearly 64 years of
close companionship.  
Also four granddaughters, Mrs. Bell Riley of Rollin township, Mrs. Earl Yinger and
Misses Delia and 
Margaret Storms of this city, also a young boy, Elmer Wilkes, to whom she has acted
a mother's part for 
a number of years, besides a number of nephews and nieces, are all left to mourn her
loss. "Verily she 
has done what she could."

She died April 13, 1907, at her home 49 Norwood-ave., and the funeral was held the
16th at the home 
of Mr and Mrs Earl Yinger, 7 south Manning-st. and the remains were laid to rest in
the Morgan 
cemetery, Cambria township. Services were conducted by Rev. John W. Warner of
Frontier.
