Bradley Seelye served as Ensign in the 7th Co. or Trainband, in the 16th Connecticut Reg't, under Capt. William Barns and Lt. William Phelps. This reg't was enlisted from various Connecticut towns in the vacinity of New Fairfield, which was Mr. Seelye's residence. He was liekwise on the Commissary's account of Connecticut in 1780 for furnishing supplies to the army."
