Son James' full name was James Phillips Angove, the name of a paternal uncle who died in 1873 at age twenty-one in Redruth, Cornwall. Son Richard also had the name of a paternal uncle; the uncle joined the Royal Navy at age fifteen, and later worked as a Marine Engineer; at age fifty-two Uncle Richard married and then resided in Kansas.
