Pawlosky Elsie O. Pawlosky, 86, of Port Huron died Friday, April 5, 2002, at The Manor Adult Foster Care Home after a short illness. She was born to August E. and Ida (Schneider) Bredow on Aug. 22, 1915, in Meade Township. She married Edward B. Pawlosky on Feb. 25, 1941, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1986. With her husband, they owned and operated grocery stores in Bad Axe, Ubly, Minden City and the St. Clair Supermarket in St. Clair. In 1960, they opened Gambles Hardware Store in St. Clair and operated it until retirement in 1968. Elsie was a 50-year member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was also a member of the Rosary Alter Society and a choir member at both St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Marysville and Holy Cross Catholic Church in Marine City. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by three children, Paul Pawlosky and his wife, Deborah, of Otisville, Richard Pawlosky and his wife, Terri, of North Webster, Ind., and Mary Brown and her husband, Leonard, of St. Clair; grandchildren, Anne Marie Bubin and her husband, Philip, of Fenton, Joseph Pawlosky and his wife, Amy, of Elkhart, Ind., Patricia Garland of Chicago, Susan Pawlosky of Fort Wayne, Lisa Motte and her husband, Michael, of Marysville, and Beth Shimkus and her husband, Thomas, of Bethlehem, Pa.; four great-grandchildren, Anastasia Bubin, Miranda Bubin, Elyse Motte, and William Richard Motte; sisters-in-law Henrietta "Nettie" Bredow of Mt. Clemens, Blanche Pawlosky of Bad Axe, and Marie Edwards of Flushing; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by sisters Mina Rice, Edna Elliott, Martha Sams and Bertha Pfile; brothers William, Edward and Carl; daughters-in-law Dianne (Sadlowski) Pawlosky and Rosalee (Bradley) Pawlosky. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2002, in St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clair. The Rev. Ronald Victor will officiate. Burial will be at Marysville Cemetery. A rosary will be 8 p.m. Monday at the L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, 214 Trumbull, in St. Clair. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Pauline Skidmore Dupont Pauline Gertrude (Skidmore) Dupont, 76, of Caseville died Friday afternoon, April 5, 2002, at Tender Care in Cass City. She was born Jan. 14, 1976 in Detroit to the late Fritz and Gertrude (Lindenberg) Swanquist. On Oct. 8, 1953, she was united in marriage to Charles Skidmore in Napoleon, Ohio. He preceded her in death Feb. 2, 1994. Pauline moved to Caseville from Grosse Pointe in April 1978 to be closer to family. She was a former member of the Grace United Methodist Church, a member of the Caseville Eagles Auxiliary and the Caseville Retirement Club. Surviving are five children, Charlene McMillan and Laure Skidmore of Rochester, Geoffrey Skidmore of Beverly Hills, Holly Skidmore of Bad Axe and Amy Wilson of Sault Ste. Marie; two grandchildren, Lacy and Tim; a brother, Warren Swanquist of Caseville; three sisters, Doris Thienel of Roseville, Shirley Krueger of Caseville and June Rasmussen of Grosse Pointe. Preceding her in death were two brothers, Richard and Robert Swanquist. Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Elkton with burial in the Caseville Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Harold Stacer Harold M. Stacer, 87, of Ruth died Thursday, April 4, 2002, in the Cartwright Center of Saginaw. He was born Oct. 1, 1914 in Ruth, son of the late Anthony and Anna Volmering Stacer. He married Loretta E. Holdwick on Aug. 18, 1945, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She preceded him in death May 30, 1995. Harold was a graduate of the country school. He farmed with his family before entering the U.S. Army and serving in World War II in the Pacific Theater. He worked for the Booms Silo Co. of Ruth for 27 years and the Midwest Rubber Co. of Deckerville for 10 years and retired from the Harbor Beach School maintenance department after five years. He was a lifelong parishioner of SS. Peter and Paul parish and an usher for many years. He had been a volunteer fireman for many years in Ruth. He was a member and former officer in the Parisville V.F.W. Post 5740 of Ruth. He enjoyed tending his orchard, gardening with his wife and family, tinkering with machinery and repairing anything and everything. Harold is survived by two sons, Willard Stacer and his wife, Norma, of Livonia and Daniel Stacer and his wife, Cynthia, of Morgan Hill, Calif.; two daughters, Margie Soltis and her husband, Edward, of Dearborn Heights and Nancy Dillon and her husband, Terrence, of Saginaw; eight grandchildren; one brother, Merlin Stacer and his wife, Magdelene, of Ruth; sisters-in-law Cecelia Stacer, Lucille Stacer and Lenore Kups and her husband, Stanley, and Irene Holdwick; brothers-in-law Leo Holdwick and his wife, Shirley, Joseph Holdwick and his wife, Lorraine, and Roman Holdwick and his wife, Clarann. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Daniel Soltis; a sister, Juanita Clor; two infant sisters; four brothers, Robert, Wilfred, Quentin and Jerome Stacer; sister-in- law Delores Stacer; brother-in-law Nicholas Clor. Raymond Voelker Jr. Raymond Edward Voelker Jr., 43, of Bay Port and formerly of Caro, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2002, at Bay Medical Center in Bay City after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 27, 1958, in Ypsilanti, the son of Raymond and the late Shirley (Harris) Voelker. His passion in life, besides his family, was cooking. He enjoyed playing pool with his friends and belonged to the Midwest Men's Pool League at the Bay Port Hotel. He was also a wonderful father, son, brother, and uncle. Raymond leaves to cherish his memory his family, including two daughters, Jacqueline and Jeanette of Caro; father and step-mother, Raymond and Sharon Voelker of Anthem, Ariz.; two sisters, Debbie Lakawskas of Phoenix and Linda Gilliam and her husband, Dan, of Peoria, Ariz.; one brother, George Voelker and his wife, Kim, of Caro; several nieces and nephews, Joel and Steven Lakawskas, Brandon and Emily Gilliam, Nathan, Sarah and Christian Voelker; many very dear friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Voelker, on Nov. 12, 1982. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2002, at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro. Monday, April 08, 2002 Kim Hopper Kim G. Hopper, 48, of Cass City died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 6, 2002, in Hills and Dales General Hospital. He was born Aug. 19, 1953, in Caro to Theron A. and Onalee M. (Keilitz) Hopper. He married Joanne E. Esckilsen on March 19, 1976, in Cass City. Kim graduated from Cass City High School in 1971. He then began working at the Caro Regional Center where he stayed for 23 years. During that time he served as union steward and president of Local No. 831. Kim attended Northwood University and Central Michigan University studying health care management. He enjoyed pheasant and duck hunting and at one time raised springer spaniels. He loved baseball, watching the Tigers, coaching his son's Little League team and playing fast pitch softball. Kim loved to read and had a passion for justice. He enjoyed gardening, especially his roses. He was a very supportive husband and father. After his retirement from the Regional Center, Kim was a housedad, taking on many of the day-to-day responsibilities of raising his family. Kim is survived by his wife, Joanne; children Emily Jo Hopper of Saginaw, Eric Theron Hopper, at home, Zachary Andrew Hopper, at home; his mother Onalee M. Hopper of Deford; his grandmother, Mildred Keilitz of Las Vegas, Nev.; brothers Gene Hopper and his wife, Marlene, of Cass City, Kip Hopper of Davison, and Kyle Hopper and his wife, Sue Torres, of Deford; a sister, Kerri Scerbicke and her husband, Glenn, of Bartlett, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Karen Gaffney and her husband, Dave, of Saginaw; a brother-in-law, Steven Esckilsen and his wife, Karen, of Saginaw; his mother-in-law, Judy Esckilsen of Cass City; father-in-law, Theron Esckilsen and his wife, Mabel, of Cass City; and nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Theron, in 1978; and his grandfather, Otto Keilitz. Tuesday April 9, 2002 Mildred Bieri Mildred L. Bieri, 69, of Berne near Pigeon died Sunday evening, April 7, 2002, at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon. She was born Aug. 6, 1932, in Kentucky to the late James and Bevie (Foster) VanPoole and moved to Michigan in her youth. On March 2, 1957, she was united in marriage to Lawrence A. Bieri in Washington. He preceded her in death on June 21, 1991. Mildred raised her family in Warren and had been coming to the Pigeon-Caseville area since the early 70s. In 1986, they moved here to stay. She is survived by five children, Dennis VanPoole and his wife, Joann, of Pigeon, LuAnn O'Connell and her fiancee, Kevin, of Tennessee, Pete Bieri and Darlene Bieri of Pigeon, and Cyndi Bieri of Warren; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her brother, John Shepherd of Pigeon; and her sister, Mary Brakenaki of Warren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jim, in November 2001. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2002, at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Caseville. The Rev. Pearl McIntosh Pearl McIntosh, 83, of Caro died Monday, April 8, 2002, at the Tuscola Medical Care Facility in Caro. She was born Oct. 11, 1918, in Argyle to Fred and Minnie (Bundo) Swarthout. She married Basil A. McIntosh on Dec. 18, 1937, in Ohio. He died Nov. 14, 1997. During World War II, Pearl worked in a factory. She worked for Arthur's Department Store and the local dry cleaner. She was a real estate broker for 25 years. She was a member of the Elks lodge. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking. Pearl is survived by her children, Richard McIntosh and his wife, Linda, of Lapeer, Edward McIntosh of Ann Arbor, Joan Suder and her husband, Jim, of Caro and Gary McIntosh of Pelston; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Berdie O'Neil and her husband, Red, of Port Huron and Lillian Mutter of Lansing; her brothers, Paul Swarthout of Osanek and Fred Swarthout of Holly; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandsons, Richard B. McIntosh and Jerry Stewart. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association. Wednesday, April 10, 2002 Elmer "Big Al" Allred Elmer "Big Al" G. Allred, 74, of Bay Port died early Tuesday morning, April 9, 2002, at his home following a two-year illness. He was born Aug. 24, 1927, in Pontiac, son of the late John R. and Grace (Bilyeu) Allred. He was united in marriage to Colleen J. Wuergess on April 12, 1965, in Lakeland, Fla. She preceded him in death on Oct. 30, 2001. Al and Colleen owned and operated the Bay Port Inn in Bay Port for 34 years before semi-retiring 11 years ago. He was also in the Merchant Marines for 30 years, serving through World War II, the Korean conflict, Vietnam War and Desert Storm. He was a member of the National Maritime Union, the American Legion Post of Pigeon and Elf Khurafeh Shrine Temple of Saginaw. Surviving are three sons, one daughter and their spouses: Alan Schooley and his wife, Denise, of Franklin, N.C., Garth Schooley, Mark Schooley and his wife, Lori, and Eileen Fahl and her husband, Clayton, all of Bay Port; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Cremation took place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City. A memorial service will take place at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at the Dinkel-Juengel Funeral Home in Sebewaing. The Rev. Kohl Heilig Kohl Robert Heilig, three days old, of Fenton passed away Monday morning, April 8, 2002, at Hurley Medical Center Neonatal Unit of Flint. He was born April 5, 2002, at Genesys Health Park in Grand Blanc to Howard and Jennifer (Diggs) Heilig. He is survived by his parents, Howard and Jennifer Heilig of Fenton; one brother, Brock Heilig, at home; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Julia Heilig of Ubly; maternal grandparents, Robert and Barbara Diggs of Holly; and several aunts and uncles. Gusa, 73, of Harbor Beach passed away Monday, April 8, 2002, of an apparent heart attack near his home. He was born Jan. 30, 1929, in Harbor Beach to the late Michael and Josephine (Gintner) Gusa. James and Lauretta Booms were married on May 18, 1957, in Harbor Beach. He was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church and the Burhans-Hagedon Post 197 American Legion in Harbor Beach. He loved to fish, garden and work in his yard. James is survived by his wife, Lauretta, of Harbor Beach; four sons, James Genis and his wife, Diane, of Yale, John Genis and his wife, Lois, of Harbor Beach, Ronald Genis and his wife, Doreen, of Harbor Beach, and Earl Gusa and his wife, Nancy, of Warren; two daughters, Moreen McCrandall and her husband, Joe, of Burton, and Sharon Bischer and her husband, Dan, of Harbor Beach; one brother, Andrew Gusa and his wife, Pat, of Minden City; five sisters, Anna Klee and her husband, Charles, of Harbor Beach, Catherine Lablong and her husband, Tom, of Dearborn, Marie Booth and her husband, Ken, of Warren, Irene Scoviac of Harbor Beach and Stella Lantz and her husband, Ed, of Rochester; 16 grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren. Starr, 76, of Cass City died Monday, April 8, 2002, in Tendercare Nursing Facility in Cass City. He was born May 29, 1925, at home in Austin Township to Clinton and Ida (Clark) Starr. He continued to live in the same house his entire life. He married Velma P. Thomas on July 27, 1951, in Merrill Brethren in Christ Church. Raymond was a dairy farmer for many years until 1975 when he began to raise beef cattle until 1995. He worked as a janitor for General Cable for more than 10 years. Raymond was a very active member of Mooretown Brethren in Christ Church serving over the years in positions from superintendent to greeter. He designed and made many beautiful quilts. Raymond is survived by his wife, Velma; his daughter Darlene Kay Evans and her husband, David, of Brookhaven, Pa.; grandsons Tyler Dykes, Zackary Dykes and Jordon Dykes; sisters Phyllis Miller and her husband, Lawrence, of Beaverton and Marian Cisco of Palmyra, Pa.; brother John Starr and his wife, Georgia, of Santa Anna, Calif.; sisters- in-law Norma Starr of Sandusky and Jean Starr of Macomb Township; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Ronnie Ray, in 1952; an infant daughter, Clara Ida, in 1957; and brothers Randall and Harold Starr. Louise Ziegler Louise Marie Ziegler, 90, of Elkton passed away Monday, April 8, 2002, at Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe. She was born Sept. 5, 1911, at the home of her parents, the late William and Dorothea (Roeber) Licht in Oliver Township. On Nov. 4, 1931, she was united in marriage to Martin Ziegler in Flint. He preceded her in death on Aug. 3, 1955. Louise was employed with General Telephone Co. as an operator from 1954 to 1962. In 1962, she began working at the dental office of Dr. George Hay, retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Berne. Surviving are one son, Jerry Ziegler of Bad Axe; three daughters, Janet Reinbold of Frankenmuth, Judy Fitch and her husband, Jerry, of Concord, N.C., and Marge Parker and her husband, Dan, of Midland; a son-in-law, James Reinbold of Frankenmuth; four grandchildren, Kim Kinateder and her husband, Frank, Jeff Fitch and his wife, Cheryl, Chris Fitch and Julie McEwen and her husband, Jerry; two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Ryan Fitch; two sisters, Meta Elftman of Elkton and Leona Beck and her husband, Nels, of Saginaw; two brothers, Al Licht and his wife, June, of Bad Axe, and Werner Licht of Elkton; a brother-in-law, Walt Bendry of Clio; and many nieces and nephews. Cominsky, 76, of Sand Point, formerly of East Detroit, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at Bay Regional Medical Center in Bay City. She was born on June 20, 1925, in Detroit, daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Scalzo) DeSilva. On June 26, 1948, she was united in marriage to Harold A. Cominsky at St. Charles Catholic Church in Detroit. He survives her. Mrs. Cominsky worked as secretary for the East Detroit Fire Department for 17 years, retiring in 1987. She was a former member of the East Detroit Beautification Commission. She was a member and past Madam President of the Caseville Eagles No. 3690 Auxiliary. She also was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Pigeon. Along with Harold, her husband of more than 53 years, she is survived by two sons, Anthony Cominsky and his wife, Tara, of Thornton, Colo., and Ronald Cominsky and his wife, Anna, of Clinton Township; four granddaughters, Andrea, Alexandra, Michelle and Elena; a brother, Richard DeSilva of Chesterfield Township; a sister, Antoinette DeSilva of Roseville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Manuel. The funeral mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2002, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Pigeon with Fr. George Serour and Sr. Theresa Fox, O.P., officiating. Cremation will follow at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Ollie Cooper Ollie L. Cooper, 88, of Harbor Beach passed away Monday, April 8, 2002, in Autumnwood of Deckerville following a long illness. Born on July 28, 1913, in Harbor Beach, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Martha (Schultz) Bucholtz. She and Burton Cooper were united in marriage on Nov. 22, 1950. He preceded her in death on May 14, 1983. In 1990, she received her high school diploma in Bad Axe. Ollie was a member of the Harbor Beach United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Evelyn Wisneski and her husband, Ernie, of Houghton Lake, Dorothy Dickinson and her husband, Robert, of Milan, H.C. Scott of Rochester and Cheryl Wilson of Port Hope; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth Bucholtz of Bad Axe and Florence Dickinson of Harbor Beach; and a brother, Emil Bucholtz of Louisville. She was preceded in death by five brothers, William, Elmer, Leo, Harry and Ernie Bucholtz; and two grandchildren, Nathan Arntz and Damon Dow. Dennis Deming Dennis Lee "Cork" Deming, 56, of Vassar died Wednesday morning, April 10, 2002, from injuries received in a truck accident near Zilwaukee. He was born Dec. 26, 1945, in Bay Port, son of the late Donald H. and Lucille A. (Martens) Deming. He was united in marriage to Rosana LeGue on May 23, 1964, in Bay Port. He was a devoted husband as well as Rosana's best friend. Dennis had been employed with Champagne and Marx Excavating in Saginaw since 1989. He enjoyed his grandchildren and fishing, was an avid bird watcher, woodcrafter and was very patriotic and an outstanding big brother. Surviving are his wife, Rosana, of Vassar; two daughters, Lorraine Ann Deming of Vassar and Cynthia Marie Baumgarner and her husband, Richard, of Mount Morris; two sons, Dennis Lee Deming, Jr. of Monroe and Robert Deming and his wife, Michaline, of Hamtramck; 11 grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Lou Miller of Bay Port, Rose Marie Eisiliones and Vera Deming, both of Bay Port; four brothers, Fredrick Deming and his wife, Margaret, of Vassar, David Deming and his wife, Melody, of Sebewaing, James Deming and his wife, Faith, of Bad Axe, and Ronald Deming and his wife, Dee, of Pigeon; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Connie Lynn Deming; and one brother, Timothy Deming. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2002, at the Ministry Center of Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing. Bishop James W. Fader Jr. of the North Oakland Church of God in Oxford will officiate with cremation to follow at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City. Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. today at Dinkel-Juengel Funeral Home in Sebewaing and he will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the Ministry Center. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund. Mary Reed Mary Reed, 79, of Bay Port passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Saginaw. She was born on July 6, 1922, in Brown City, daughter of the late John and Anna (Stoessle) Miller. On Sept. 1, 1945, she was united in marriage to Roy J. Reed at Ogden, Utah. He survives her. Mrs. Reed worked on airplane engines during the war effort of World War II. For many years, she was a cook for the Bay Port Elementary School, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the VFW Sebewaing Post 4115 Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Roy; three daughters, Donna Courtney and her husband, Gary, of Interlochen, Marlene Sipes and her husband, Mike, of Bedford, Ind., and Dawn Reed-Lee and her husband, Vince, of Caro; nine grandchildren, Tim and his wife, Judy, Rodney, Scott, Chris, Stacey and her husband, Fred, Marla and her husband, Jeff, Sean and his wife, Jessica, Amber and her husband, Sean, and Jeremy; nine great-grandchildren, Courtney, Bryan, Eric, Nathaniel, Haley, Roy, Logan, Ryan and Zachariah; a sister, Elizabeth Bigham of Cass City; a brother, William Miller and his wife, Elsie, of Caro; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Chloe; a sister, Helen Strong; and a brother, John Miller. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2002, at the Meyersieck-Bussema Funeral Home in Pigeon with the Rev. Wayne Keim officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Alyce Willcocks Alyce (Ullrich) Willcocks, 86, of Rolling Hills Estate, Calif., and formerly of Sebewaing, passed away on April 4, 2002. She was born on Dec. 17, 1915, in Sebewaing to Leo and Martha (Thiel) Ullrich. She worked in Detroit from 1939 to 1950 at a parachute manufacturing plant during World War II. In 1950 she moved to the Los Angeles, Calif. area and worked as an electronic technician for McDonnell Douglas for 18 years. She was married to Harry Willcocks, who preceded her in death in 1970. Alyce is survived by a sister, Leona Szidik of Riverside, Calif.; a nephew, Gary Gliniecki and his wife, Donna, and children Candi and Greg, of Ruth; nieces Lori Hutton and her husband, George, and children Margaret and Audrey of Warren, Carrie Agnew and sons Christopher and Thomas Gliniecki of Dimondale, and Janet Szidik and daughter Maggie; and many friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Robert; three sisters, infant Sylvia Ullrich, Helen Gliniecki and Marie Ullrich; two brothers-in-law, Chester Gliniecki and Joe Szidik; and a nephew, Dr. Glen Gliniecki. A memorial service took place at a chapel near her home in California. Leonard R. Hanson Leonard R. Hanson, 76, of Port Hope, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2002 at Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe, Michigan. He was born May 14, 1925 in Kingsford, Michigan. He was a veteran. He was involved in American Legion-Post 197, AmVets Post 115, O.L.L.H. Knights of Columbus #11,432 of the 3rd Degree, the K of C in Bad Axe of the 4th Degree, VFW of Garden City, Michigan. He was survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Port Hope, Michigan; two daughters, Terry Poshadlo, of Novi, Michigan, and Betty Wiggins, of Ionia, Michigan; and one brother, John Hanson, of Iron Mountain, Michigan. Cremation took place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City, Michigan. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach is handling arrangements. Leo Kaliszewski Mr. Leo Kaliszewski, 86, of Powers passed away Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Pinecrest Nursing Home of Powers. The funeral mass will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2002, at St. John Catholic Church of Ubly. Arrangements are being handled by the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home of Ubly.
