Keinath, 79, of Deckerville, passed away on November 11, 2004, in Sarasota, Florida. He was born September 13, 1925 in Richville, the son of the late Martin and Agnes (Palmereuter) Keinath. On May 20, 1948, Arnold and Lois (Ortner) were married. They were life partners in marriage and on the family farm. They have enjoyed winters in Florida. Arnold farmed all his life. He loved to polka dance and did so every chance he got. The Keinaths are members of Peace Lutheran Church in Sandusky, and associate members at Concordia Lutheran in Sarasota. Mr. Keinath is survived by his wife, Lois; one son, Gerald and his wife, Merlann, of Deckerville; two daughters, Ms. Susan Thayer, of San Diego, and Sally Tobi and her husband, Doug, of Port Sanilac; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ester Haubenstricker and her husband, Wallace, of Frankenmuth, and Mrs. Marilyn Aldrich and her husband, Charles, of Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Arlene Aven. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Arnold Keinath will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2004, in Peace Lutheran Church. Monday, November 15, 2004 Andrew James Arthur Haas Andrew James Arthur Haas, 18, of Ubly, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2004, at Hills & Dales General Hospital in Cass City. He was born September 19, 1986 in Lansing, son of Arthur E.J. Haas and Barbara Janowiak. Andrew was a senior at Cass City High School. He enjoyed playing football and drag racing. He was in the band. Andrew is survived by his father, Arthur E.J. Haas, of Port Austin; his mother and stepfather, Barbara and Donald Janowiak, of Ubly; one brother, Richard Haas, of Port Austin; his maternal grandmother, Bertha Mosey, of Bad Axe; grandmother, Sylvia Janowiak, of Ubly; grandparents, John and Virginia Pettinger, of Grand Ledge; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Stein, 90, of Bad Axe, former owner and operator of Stein-Walker Company in Bad Axe, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2004, at his home. He was born August 13, 1914 in Pinnebog, son of the late Frank and Cecelia (Hebert) Stein. He married Marian A. Gregurash on July 29, 1935 in Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church in Harbor Beach. She preceded him in death on September 28, 1996. Mr. Stein owned and operated Stein-Walker Company in Bad Axe for many years with his longtime business partner and friend, Bill Walker. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time playing the harmonica. Surviving are two daughters, Donna Cummings, of Bad Axe, and Connie Smith and her husband, James, of Trussville, Alabama; one sister, Rita L. Stein, of Warren; five grandchildren, Lou Cummings and his wife, Cathy, of Mt. Pleasant, Edward Smith and his wife, Michelle, of Birmingham, Alabama, Brian Smith and his wife, Melissa, of Pinson, Alabama, Lisa Gunn and her husband, Brian, of Bad Axe, and Lori Holdwick and her husband, Joe, of Bad Axe; 10 great-grandchildren; and one special nephew, Martin Stein and his wife, Sandy, of Verona. Randall, 72, of Gaylord and formerly of Caro, died Friday, November 12, 2004, in Tendercare Nursing Facility in Gaylord after a long illness. Gall, 96, of Bay Port, passed away early Sunday, November 14, 2004, at her home. She was born in Bay Port on January 24, 1908, daughter of the late William C. and Alice P. (Owen) Gillingham and was a 1926 Bad Axe High School graduate. She was united in marriage to Elmer Gall in 1935 and he preceded her in death in 1969. Mrs. Gall was a homemaker throughout her lifetime, and along with Mr. Gall, owned and operated the Cottage Inn Restaurant in Bay Port for several years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, embroidery and quilting, and was known as an excellent cook and baker. She was politically astute, and enjoyed current events. In her younger days, she enjoyed music and dancing. She is survived by two sons, Larry Gall and his wife, JoAnn, of Higgins Lake and North Port, Florida, and Floyd McGillivray and his wife, Grace, of Clio; two daughters, Patricia Babcock and Alice Small, both of Bay Port; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Linda McGillivray-Hartung; two sisters, Leila Beatrice Gillingham and Minnie Williams; and a brother, Walter Gillingham. Anne Jaworski Anne Jaworski, 80, of Port Austin, passed away on November 14, 2004, at her home under the loving care of her family and the services of Heartland Hospice. Born in Belleville on November 20, 1923, she was the daughter of Rose (Macholl) and Mietz Greca. She was a 1941 graduate of Monroe High School. She was united in marriage with Ervin A. Jaworski on November 24, 1943 in Bremmerton, Washington. Anne was an active member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Port Austin as well as St. Charles Catholic Church in Newport. She was active in her church and the community, participating in the altar society, the Red Cross disaster services, and election poll work. Anne was also an avid fan of polka music and quilting. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her husband, Ervin, of Port Austin; her children, Judy Finnigan and her husband, Norville, of Spokane, Washington, James Jaworski, of Brooking, Oregon, Kay Cogley and her husband, Jack, of Brighton, Dennis Jaworski and his wife, Julie, of Venice, Florida, Alan Jaworski and his wife, Joanne, of Nashville, Tennessee, Michael Jaworski and his wife, Frieda, of Monroe, Jon Jaworski and his wife, Nancy, and Jo Jaworski and her husband, Gary Carone, of Newport; 18 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul; her daughter, Mary; three brothers, Al, Donald, and Richard Greca; three sisters, Edith Manor, Rose Koenig, and Eleanor McGill. Lubeski, 89, of Rapson, passed away Sunday evening, November 14, 2004, at the Huron Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe after a long illness. Florence was born near Ubly on February 28, 1915, daughter of the late Charles and Julia (Osentoski) Bukoski. She was married to Otto Lubeski on August 27, 1938 at St. John's Catholic Church in Ubly by Fr. Stanley Kilar. Otto preceded her in death on October 25, 1992. Florence was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church since 1950, when she moved from Detroit after living there since 1926. She was a former Regent of the Daughters of Isabella, Fidelis Regina Circle #608, for 4 years. She was also a member and former president and secretary of St. Rita's Altar Society and a member of St. Ann's Study Club, both of St. Joseph Parish. She was also a member of the Huron County League of Catholic Women and the East Region Council. She enjoyed bingo, dancing, and crocheting, and she loved to play euchre. Florence is survived by one daughter, Marvel Sowles and her husband, Allan, of Bad Axe; four sons, Tyrone Lubeski and his wife, Judy, of Port Austin, Wayne Lubeski and his wife, Bernadette, of Bad Axe, Larry Lubeski of Lapeer, Alan Lubeski and his wife, Patti, of Harbor Beach; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Florence was preceded in death by five sisters; and six brothers. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rapson. The Rev. Both services will be at the funeral home. Wednesday, November 17, 2004 Helen B. Heck Helen B. Heck, 81, co-owner of Heck's Bar in Pinnebog, passed away on Monday afternoon, November 15, 2004, at her home while under hospice care. She was born November 27, 1922 in Winsor Township to the late John and Irene (Errer) Heck. On December 4, 1943, she was united in marriage to Robert E. Heck at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Linkville. In 1952, she and Bob bought the Pinnebog Bar renaming it Heck's Bar and together they have owned it the past 51 years, turning the operation of it over to their children in 1997. Helen was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Kinde, and a past member of the Pinnebog Worthwhile Women's Club. She enjoyed quilting, collecting dolls and loved being in her flower garden. Surviving are her husband, Robert; her daughter, Elizabeth Heck; her son, Robert Heck II, all of Pinnebog; her brother, Emil Heck and his wife, Cathryn, of Ubly; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may sign the guest book at www.cfcElkton.com. Leo P. McArdle Sr. Leo P. McArdle, Sr., 70, of Elkton, passed away Monday, November 15, 2004, at his home. He was born in Chandler Township on April 14, 1934, son of the late Joseph, Sr. and Louise (Roestel) McArdle, and graduated in 1951 from Pigeon High School. On May 26, 1962, he was united in marriage to Elaine J. Badour at St. John Catholic Church in Essexville. She survives him. Mr. McArdle was a dairy farmer and worked as a milk hauler for more than 30 years. He retired in the mid-80's after hauling milk for John Moore. He also worked at Active Industries. He was a former member of the Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA) and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus West Huron Centennial Council No. 8042. He was formerly a very active member of the St. Felix Catholic Church, Pinnebog, and a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Pigeon. In addition to Elaine, his wife of over 42 years, he is survived by seven children, Rosemary Benjamin and her husband, Michael, of Perry, Leo McArdle II, of Pigeon, Mary Tait and her husband, Michael, of Caseville, Delores McArdle, of Mio, Patrick McArdle and his wife, Gloria, of Pigeon, Maureen McArdle, of Westland, and Peter McArdle and his wife, Michelle, of Elkton; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Robert McArdle and his wife, Dorothy, of Bad Axe; three sisters, Audrey Galbraith and her husband, Ed, of North Carolina, Bernice Vealy and her husband, Frank, of Webberville, and Joan Blome, of Pigeon; and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Francis McArdle, Agnes McArdle, Doris Dean, Jim McArdle, Helen Hyzer, Joseph McArdle, and Dale McArdle. Thursday, November 18, 2004 Alfred A. Sy Mr. Alfred A. Sy, 90, passed away Wednesday morning, November 17, 2004. He was born in Unionville on September 20, 1914, a son of John and Kate (Menzel) Sy. On March 9, 1940, he married Florence Hovey. Together they farmed for many years. Alfred was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Unionville. Surviving are his daughters, Sharon Ahler and her husband, Richard, of Bad Axe, Mary Fournier and her husband, Robert, of Sebewaing, Judi Wissner, of Elkton, and Jackie Guinther and her husband, Gerald, of Gagetown; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Harold and his wife, Dorothy, of Unionville; sister-in-law, Frieda Sy; sister, Shirley Keyser; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Holly Marie Fournier in 1987; brothers, Clarence in 1999, Arnold in 2002, and Melvin in 1994. Thomas, 70, of Grant Township, died Wednesday morning, November 17, 2004, at his home while under hospice care. He was born October 30, 1934 at the home of his parents, the late Johnie and Eva (Robarts) Thomas in Grant Township. On January 21, 1956, he was united in marriage to Margit Tordai at the Grand Methodist Church. Harold was employed at Cass City Manufacturing for a time, he milked cows on the Henry Drettman farm for six years and worked part time at Michigan Sugar before they moved to Flint. There he began working at GM Buick. A short time later they moved to Clio where they remained until retiring in 1995 with 31 years of service. That same year, they moved back to Grant Township. He was fascinated with horses and followed the harness races around the state. Harold also enjoyed gardening and took an active part in driving the Amish to get their supplies. Surviving are his wife, Margit; two sons, James Thomas and his wife, Vickie, of Flint, and Gary Thomas, of Bad Axe; two grandchildren, Alyssa and John Thomas, of Flint; a sister, Vernita Nimtz and her husband, Walter, of Sebewaing; and many nieces and nephews. "Pete" Bach Alfred C. "Pete" Bach, 80, of Sebewaing, died Thursday morning, November 18, 2004, in the home where he was born, following a two-year illness. He was born February 1, 1924 in Sebewaing, son of the late Carl and Clara (Eberlein) Bach. He was united in marriage to Alberta Howard on March 5, 1949 in Sebewaing. She preceded him in death on December 14, 2002. Pete had been a farmer and carpenter in the Sebewaing area for many years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing and served as an elder. He was an avid woodworker, enjoyed shuffleboard, sports, hunting, fishing and was a master of all trades and the ultimate Tiger baseball fan. Surviving are five sons, Bruce Bach and his wife, Joanne, and Kenneth Bach, all of Sebewaing, Edward Bach and his wife, Jane, of Windsor, Colorado, Joseph Bach, of St. Louis, Missouri, Paul Bach and his wife, Lisa, of St. Charles, Missouri; three daughters, Carol Sattler and her husband, Steve, Debra Kundinger and her husband, Arlen, of Sebewaing, Peggy Wilson and her husband, the Rev. Richard, of Forestville; 22 grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; one sister, Esther Konkle and her husband, Robert, of San Francisco, California; one brother, Dr. Norman Bach and his wife, Jean, of Chelsea; and several nieces and nephews. Gaeth, 23, of Bad Axe, died Thursday morning, November 18, 2004, from injuries received in an incident while at work. He was born February 5, 1981 in Bay City to Gerald Gaeth and Jane (Dunckel) Gaeth. Matt was a 1999 graduate of Laker High School and has been employed at Thumb Tool & Engineering since graduation. Matt was an energetic young man who was always smiling and ready to have a good time with his friends and family. He enjoyed hunting small game and deer, riding motorcycles and just being out-of-doors. Surviving are his son, Corbin M Gaeth; his special friend, Kristine Halifax, of Deckerville; his parents, Jane and Brent Schweitzer, of Owendale and Gerald Gaeth, of Texas; four sisters and their families, Kristi Suber and her husband, John, and children, Chase and Grace, of Sebewaing, Misti Dombrowski and her husband, Gene, and children, Alex and Laura, of Saginaw, Brandi Rankin and her husband, Mike, and children, Arianah and Kaleb, of Essexville, and Kim Schweitzer, of Pigeon; three brothers, KC Gaeth, of Essexville, Nate Schweitzer, of Pigeon, and Joey Schweitzer, of Owendale.
