Osmulski Eric T. Osmulski, 34, of Harbor Beach, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 31, 2004, at Harbor Beach Community Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Detroit on November 22, 1970, he was the son of Donald and Clara Dawn (Griffin) Osmulski. Eric was a locksmith with Thumb Lock and Key of Harbor Beach and enjoyed fishing, baseball and visiting with friends. He is survived by his parents, Donald and Dawn Osmulski, Sr., of Harbor Beach, his twin brother, Donald Osmulski, Jr., of Harbor Beach; two sisters, Robin Steenbergh, of Harbor Beach, and Dawn Brown and her husband, Gary, of Eastpointe; by nieces and nephews, Mandy, Drew, Alayna, Courtney and Cody; and by special friends, Lisa Brown, Nicole and David Brown. Funeral services will be at noon on Tuesday, January 4, 2005, in the Ramsey Funeral Home, Harbor Beach, with the Rev. Mark Girardin, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Falls Cemetery. A scripture service will be at 7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home where visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday. Roy N. Wing Roy N. Wing, 96, of Pigeon, died Saturday, January 1, 2005, at his home following a brief illness. He was born November 23, 1908 in Pigeon, son of the late Daniel and Emma (Haist) Wing. He was married to Edna Bolzman, who preceded him in death. He then married Leota Weimer on November 7, 1975 in Caseville. She preceded him in death on April 21, 2003. Roy had been employed for the county on road jobs, and later for Michigan Sugar Company in Sebewaing. He also was a foreman at Malabo Defense Plant and later at the Pigeon Lumber Company before retiring at age 72. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Berne. Surviving are one daughter, Betty Ann Mitchell; one granddaughter, Mary Wyatt and her husband, Tom, all of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister, Idella Jackel and her daughter, Geraldine, both of Pigeon; also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Olin, Otis, and Archie; one sister, Alverna; four half brothers, Leonard, Rolland, Norman, Dave; and one half sister, Barbara. The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at the Dinkel-Juengel Funeral Home in Sebewaing. The Rev. James A. Gorsegner will officiate with burial in Northlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Cornell, 54, of Kingston, died unexpectedly Saturday, January 1, 2005, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Saginaw. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2005, in Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston, with Pastor Dean Bryan, of Juniata Baptist Church, officiating. Tuesday, January 04, 2005 Rita A. Brehm Rita A. Brehm, of Jenison, died Saturday, January 1, 2005, at Spectrum Health- Butterworth Campus. She lived most of her life in the Bay City area, moving to Jenison in February, 2004, to be closer to her family. In Bay City, she was a member of St. Boniface Church, a lifetime member of the Bay Medical Auxiliary and a lifetime member of the Elks Club. She loved traveling, playing cards, reading and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed many summers at her cottage in Port Austin and winters at her condo in Madeira Beach, Florida. She was a generous, giving person, a kind and fun loving friend and a devoted mother and grandmother. Her sense of humor and wit brought a smile to many. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by two sons, Mark Brehm and his wife, Ann, of Wyoming, Doug Brehm and his wife, Kathy, of Grandville; one daughter, Kay Johnson and her husband, Jay, of Canadian Lakes; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Ed Glasgow and his wife, Alice, of Bad Axe; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; and daughter, Barbara Brehm; and her sisters, Mary Glasgow and Alice McLeod. The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 510 N. Lincoln Avenue, Bay City, with Fr. Dale Orlik, celebrant. Elmer Schuette Elmer William Ernest Schuette, 73, of Pigeon, passed away at his home under hospice care on Sunday afternoon, January 2, 2005, after a long struggle with Parkinsons Disease. Elmer was born October 5, 1931 at the home of his parents, Albert and Mathilda (Schulz) Schuette in Winsor Township near Pigeon. He graduated from Cross Lutheran School and attended Pigeon High School. On July 11, 1964, he was united in marriage to Nancy Taschner at Cross Lutheran Church, Pigeon. She survives him. Elmer was a faithful member of Cross Lutheran Church his entire life. He played dart ball for many years for the Lutheran Church league. He was a dairy farmer until his retirement in 1998. In addition to Nancy, his wife of more than 40 years, he is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Swanson and her husband, Randy, of Ubly; three sons, Timothy, James, and John, all of Pigeon; two grandchildren, Kassidy and Nicholas Swanson; four sisters, Eunice Richmond, of Bay Port, Gertrude Crump, of Saginaw, Beatrice Marsh and her husband, Willson, of Imlay City, and Alice Bennett and her husband, Gene, of Austin, Texas; a brother, Clare Schuette and his wife, Donna, of Cass City; his mother-in-law, Sally Taschner, of Sebewaing; two sisters-in-law, Pearl Fitzpatrick, of Junction City, Kansas, and Julia Crawford and her husband, Ed, of Jacksonville, Florida; five brothers-in-law, John Taschner and his wife, Peggy, of Sebewaing, Frank Taschner and his wife, Lucy, of Traverse City, Donald Taschner and his wife, Michelle, of Madison, Alabama, Robert Taschner and his wife, Mary, of British Columbia, Canada, and Pete Merchberger, of Barbeau; very special family friends, Barbara Kundinger and her family; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Muirhead, 41, passed away Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at Hospice Austin Christopher Home. Jim was born on January 21, 1963 in Saginaw. On September 24, 1988, he was united in marriage to Renee M. Champagne. He was a life member of the North American Hunting Club and the Honda Motorcycle Club. He is survived by his parents, Charles R. and Lucile Muirhead; his wife, Renee; and their loving children, Jeremy James, Nicholas Timothy and Krystal Marie; three brothers, Bill Muirhead and his wife, Debbie, Charles R. Muirhead II and his wife, Barb, Joe Muirhead and his wife, Cindy; two sisters, Susan Lienczewski and her husband, John, Mary Kay Mayfield and her husband, Matt; eight nieces; four nephews; one great-niece; and one great-nephew. Thursday, January 6, 2005 Julie Mausolf Julie Mausolf, 40, of Bad Axe, passed away unexpectedly at her home, Wednesday, January 5, 2005. Julie was born on May 12, 1964 to Robert and Betty (Messing) Mausolf. Julie was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Helena. She loved shopping, going to parks, writing, and eating out with her friends and family. Julie is survived by her parents, Robert and Betty Mausolf, of Harbor Beach; grandparent, Andrew Messing, of Bad Axe; four brothers, Tom Mausolf, of Cordova Creek, Tennessee, Harvey and Carol Mausolf, of Harbor Beach, Roger and April Mausolf, of Carsonville, and Paul Mausolf, of Harbor Beach; three sisters, Lynn and Rick Schneidewind, of Akron, Joyce and Norman Hurren, of Carsonville, and Karen Mausolf, of Minden City; and 21 nieces and nephews. Friday, January 07, 2005 Frank Baranyai Frank Baranyai, 77, of Harbor Beach, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at the Huron Medical Care Facility, Bad Axe, following a long illness. Born in Detroit on June 2, 1927, he was the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Abraham) Baranyai, Sr. Frank was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church in Harbor Beach and enjoyed walking and fishing. He is survived by two brothers, Stephen Baranyai and his wife, Nancy, of Prescott, and William Baranyai and his wife, Lorraine, of Waterford; and a sister, Irene Daroczi, of Santa Clara, California. A Funeral Mass will be at noon on Saturday, January 8, 2005, in Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church in Harbor Beach with Fr. T.J. Fleming, pastor, officiating. Certain, 52, of Elkton, died Tuesday evening, January 4, 2005, at Scheurer Hospital following a long illness. He was born September 30, 1952 in Huntsville, Alabama, to the late Wilburn C. and Dorothy P. (Wilkes) Certain. He came to Michigan at the age of seven. Will moved to Huron County in 1993 from the Westland area after retiring from General Motors for health reasons. He had been a mechanic at GM in Ypsilanti for 15 years. He attended the Community Wesleyan Church, Elkton, and enjoyed playing golf. Surviving are three children, Everett Certain, Jesse Certain and his fiancee, Angela, and Carrie Certain, all of Pinckney; a brother, Bruce Certain and his wife, Nanette, of Garley, Alabama; and three sisters, Marilyn Johnson and her husband, Larry, of The Colony, Texas, Linda Certain, of Westland; and Janie Wilson and her husband, Larry, of Commerce Township. Horetski, 78, of Port Austin, went to rest peacefully with the Lord on Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe. She was born February 22, 1926 in Lincoln Township, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Prill) Vigenski. Fr. Joseph Dudek presided at the marriage of Edna T. Vigenski and Richard Horetski on November 20, 1942 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Port Austin. Edna was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Port Austin. She loved spending time with all of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed her dogs and cats as well as her flowers.
