Heiman, 88, of Sebewaing, died unexpectedly on Friday, October 14, 2005, at his home. He was born December 2, 1916 in Winsor Township, son of the late John and Flossie (Gregor) Heiman. He was united in marriage to Alice M. Hoffman on July 28, 1941 in Napoleon, Ohio. She preceded him in death on February 18, 2002. Willard had been employed on various farms in the Sebewaing area and then operated the Sebewaing hatchery. Later, he was a truck driver for the Sebewaing Brewing Company and then became a self-employed milk hauler for many years before retiring in 1982. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. He was an avid golfer. Surviving are one daughter, Lois and her husband, Thomas Dutcher, of Burton; three grandchildren and their spouses, Thomas and Catherine Dutcher, Kellie Dutcher, Daniel and Nikki Dutcher; four great-grandchildren, Christopher, Anthony, Matthew, and Avery; two sisters and their spouses, Millie and Walt Rosenthal, Florence and Clarence Otto, all of Pigeon; two brothers and their spouses, Raymond and Lois Heiman, of Dearborn, and J.C. and Pat Heiman, of Ohio; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, James Heiman; two sisters, Gladys Stover and Winona Fritz. The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Daniel Hahn will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday and from 2 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the Dinkel-Juengel Funeral Home in Sebewaing. Willard will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. on Wednesday until the time of service. (Rooney) Bitterburg-Schluchter, 81, of Cape Coral, Florida and formerly long- time resident of Fraser, died peacefully Thursday, September 22, 2005. June was born on June 3, 1924 in Port Hope, a daughter of the late Richard and Jenny (Quick) Rooney. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Quentin Bitterburg on May 15, 1972. She was later united in marriage to her loving husband, R. J. Schluchter, on October 2, 1976 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church of Oak Park. They made their home in Oak Park until moving to Cape Coral, Florida. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by the many she has touched in her lifetime. June is survived by her beloved husband of 29 years, R.J.; dearest children, Richard (Pamela) Bitterburg, Ronald Bitterburg, Janine (Mark, Sr.) McGarrow, and Robert (Lisa) Bitterburg; dear brother, Arthur (Carol) Rooney; cherished grandchildren, Mark Jr., Kellie, Stacy, April, Andrew, Oliver, Robert Jr., and Katie; and great- granddaughter, Amber. Hamilton Floyd E. Hamilton, 90, of Pigeon, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2005, at Tendercare of Cass City after a long illness. He was born October 7, 1915 in Tuleta, Texas, son of the late Ervin and Elizabeth (Teuscher) Hamilton, and graduated from Pigeon High School in 1934. On July 1, 1939, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Donna Heasty. She preceded him in death on May 9, 1972. On October 20, 1990, he was married to Margaret Murdoch in Mayville. She survives him. Mr. Hamilton worked at DeFoe Shipbuilding in Bay City in the early 1940s until the company closure in the late 1960s. He also operated the Pigeon Dairy in the 1950s. Upon his retirement, he was an industrial electrician with Huron Casting in Pigeon. He was a member of the Hubbard Winsor No. 420 F & AM in Pigeon and a former member of the Pigeon Lions Club. Mr. Hamilton was a member of the Pigeon School Board when they were consolidated as Elkton-Pigeon-Bay Port Schools. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pigeon. In addition to his wife, Margaret, his survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard L. and Erma Hamilton, of Pigeon, and William E. and Patricia Hamilton, of Mayville; two step-sons, Kenneth (Pat) Wing, of Columbiaville, and Donald (Kathleen) Wing, of Petoskey; four grandsons, Brent Shears, Spencer Hamilton, Jason (Carrie) Hamilton, and Justin (Amy) Hamilton; two great-grandsons, Patrick Benjamin Hamilton and Matt Shears; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Hamilton, of Bay Port. He was preceded in death by an infant sister and a brother, Eugene Hamilton. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at First United Methodist Church, Pigeon, with the Rev. John L. Britt, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Caseville Township Cemetery. Tuesday, October 18, 2005 Keith Melvin Hinton Keith Melvin Hinton, 76, of Port Austin, died Sunday, October 16, 2005, at Covenant Health Care Harrison in Saginaw. He was born March 15, 1929 in Detroit, son of the late Ora Bino and Gladys (Miller) Hinton. He married Bethel Nowlin on March 20, 1948 in Detroit. Keith worked for 23 years at Vickers of Troy, as well as 17 years at the General Motors Tech Center before retiring in 1991. Upon retiring, he and his wife moved to Port Hope from their home in Shelby Township. They then moved to Port Austin in 2002. He was a member of the Verona - Huron Lodge No. 365 of the Free and Accepted Masons, the Royal Arch Lebeon 125, the Bay City Consistory, the Elf Khurafheh Shrine, and the Grindstone-Port Hope Sportsman's Club. Keith was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the American Legion Frank Horetski Post No. 499 in Port Austin. He is survived by his wife, Bethel, of Port Austin; two sons, Richard (Janet) Hinton, of Sterling Heights, and James K. Hinton, of Warren; four grandchildren, Kimberly Hinton, of Warren, Kathryn Calcaterra, of Almont, Justin Hinton, of Shelby Township, and Richard Hinton Jr., of Washington DC; five great- grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Christopher, Breanna, Allison and Lily; and one sister, Maxine Hartman, of Ohio. He was preceded in death by one son, Alan K. Hinton. A funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde. Cremation will follow. Wednesday, October 19, 2005 Adeline "Del" Lukasiak Adeline "Del" Lukasiak, 82, of Caseville, died peacefully Monday, October 17, 2005, at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon. Del was born December 12, 1922 in Detroit to the late Joseph and Theresa (Biedron) Moraniec. She married Walter Adam Lukasiak on November 30, 1946 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Detroit. They lived in Detroit and raised their family there until retiring to their cottage on Sand Point in 1977. In retirement, they also enjoyed many winters in Jensen Beach, Florida. Del was an active member of St. Roch Catholic Church, having served as a Eucharistic minister, a catechism teacher and a member of the Women's Society. She was also a member of the Caseville Eagle's Auxiliary, having been a member of the drill team. Over the past several years Del, along with her daughter, Marie, devoted endless hours to the Caseville Community Christmas Fund making sure that less fortunate families had a bright holiday. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, and making crafts. Her grandchildren will especially miss her "big pancakes." Del is survived by her husband of 58 years, Walter; children, Christine Kravez and her husband, Bill, of Canton, Mark and his wife, Debbie, of Farmington Hills, Marie Quinn and her husband, David, of Caseville, and Brian and his wife, Pam, of Maple City; grandchildren, Jill, Tracy, Bill Jr., Katherine, Rachael, Mark, Luke and Tyler; and great-grandchildren, Philip, Eve, and Samuel. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Stanley, Michael, Joseph and Chester; and sisters, Mary, and Josephine Draplin. A Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2005, at St. Roch Catholic Church with Fr. Ken Yaroch presiding. Burial will be in St. Roch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville, and from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Saturday at the church. Roller Oradell M. Roller, 84, of Sebewaing, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2005, with her family at her side after a long battle with cancer. She was born August 13, 1921 in Bay Port, daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Dinkel) Voss. She married Harold Adam on February 2, 1940 in Kilmanagh. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1977. She then married Merle Roller on November 4, 1979. He died August 13, 2003. She had been employed at the Bay Port Fish Company and later at the Caro State Hospital. Oradell was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aid, the Farm Bureau, Birthday Club and Card Club. She loved to travel and spent her winters in Florida for 25 years after retirement. Surviving are two sons, Lloyd (Evelyn) Adam, Larry (Mary Lou) Adam; and two daughters, Marilyn (Carl) Seibel and Mary (Kurt) Kelly, all of Sebewaing; 13 grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; five step-children, Karen (Chuck) Bray, of Clarkston, Gene (Joann) Roller, of Saginaw, Brian (Darlene) Roller, of Lansing, Larry (Liz) Roller, of Canton, Neal (Donna) Roller, of Essexville; two sisters-in-law, Della Jaster, of Tuscon, Arizona, Luella (John) Gillingham, of Caseville. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Voss. A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2005, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Radio Mission Fund or Heartland Hospice. Thursday, October 20, 2005 Kenneth J. Grossens Kenneth J. Grossens, 59, of Port Austin, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 16, 2005. Ken was born to the late Michael and Ann (Cook) Grossens in Detroit on May 10, 1946. His career started as an executive at the telephone company. He then achieved a dream of becoming a police officer in Kalamazoo, changing directions. He was a manager at EPS and GM plant protection including the fire brigade and first responder. His most rewarding success was to own a medical billing service with his wife, Jan. He was a warm, compassionate, nurturing and loving father and friend. He leaves behind many happy memories for everyone who knew him and he entertained us with his wonderful storytelling skills and great sense of humor. Ken enjoyed fishing, hunting, history, photography, boats and being on open water. He was a master of deep fresh water fishing and loved the challenge of the fight. He loved the outdoors and every aspect of nature. His love of animals and his deep devotion to his dogs was reflected in every aspect of his life. Ken was a proud member of White Tails Unlimited as well as the conservation club and NRA. He is survived by his wife, Janet, of Hudsonville; his son, David Grossens, of Harbor Beach; and four daughters, Zina and Scott Hall, of Yuma, Arizona, Cynthia Grossen, of Farmington Hills, Kimberly and Conrad Smith; his granddaughter, Vivian L. Smith, of Dallas, Texas, Kathryn Grossens and Kyle Jenkins, of Hopkins; his brother, David and Emily Grossens, of Troy; his sister, Barbara and Stanley Potasnik, of Clinton Township. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria and her husband, Ray Dolza; his in-laws, Edward and Julia Sonefeld and his first born grandchild, Ryan J. O'Neill. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2005, at the MacAlpine Gage-Chapel in Kinde. The Rev. Raymond Orth will officiate. Milton Kinney Milton Kinney, 79, of Caro and formerly of Harbor Beach, passed away Tuesday evening, October 18, 2005, at his home with hospice care in Caro. Born on August 3, 1926 in Virginia, he was the son of the late Elijah and Martha (Ferris) Kinney. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army and was a member of the VFW Post No. 4164 of Caro. Surviving are his three step-children, David Lemanski, of Georgia, Margaret Donovan, of Illinois, and Sandy Osentoski, of Cass City; a brother, Joseph Kinney, of Brownstown; and several nieces and nephews. Milton was preceded in death by his grandson, Gary Yoe; and wife, Donna Younglove Kinney; brothers, Robert and William; and sisters, Loretta Reinke and Mary Roggenbuck. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2005, at the Ramsey Funeral Home in Harbor Beach with Pastor Tim Wells, of Marlette, officiating.
