Ashmore, 79, of Cass City, died Friday, March 25, 2005, in St. Mary's Medical Center, Saginaw. She was born April 23, 1925 in Colfax Township to Roland and Ann (Quinn) Hartsell. She married David "Charles" Ashmore January 25, 1942 in Elkton. He died January 13, 2001. Wilma retired from Walbro on her 65th birthday after 27 years. She attended Cass City United Methodist Church. Wilma was a member of Seniors Citizens in Gagetown. She enjoyed traveling, puzzles and crossword puzzles. When she was younger, she drove hot rod cars at Owendale Speedway. Wilma is survived by her children, the Rev. David Ashmore and his wife, Andrea, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Judy Elliott and her husband, Tommy, of Limestone, Tennessee, Roger Ashmore and his wife, Mary, of Bay City, Henry Ashmore, of Bay City, Dale Ashmore and his wife, Clara, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Sharon Grant, of Saginaw, Karen Mayer, of Cass City; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, William Hartsell and his wife, Thelma, of Deford, Leonard Hartsell and his wife, Donna, of Owosso; sisters, Elda Straty, of Prunesville, and Anna Mae Owens and her husband, Joseph, of Bridgeport; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Connie; son-in-law, David Grant; brothers, Leland, Orville and Roland Hartsell; and sister, Euleta McComb. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2005, in Cass City United Methodist Church with the Rev. George Ward officiating. Interment will be in Grant Township Cemetery, Gagetown. Pallbearers for Mrs. Ashmore are her grandsons and granddaughter, Scott Ducolon, Chris Ashmore, Robert Ashmore, Dale Charles Ashmore, Roger Ashmore II, Cory Mayer, and Heidi Sopcak. Doyle, 76, of Harbor Beach, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2005, at his home following a long illness. The son of Lowell and Edith (Poppeck) Doyle, he was born in Detroit on September 30, 1928. On August 30, 1957, Wayne and Dorislee Ott were united in marriage at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Redford. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elkton. An avid fisherman and hunter, he also was a retired staff officer of the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Harbor Beach. He served in World War II with the U.S. Maritime Service. Surviving are his wife, Dorislee; two children, Kevin L. Doyle and his wife, Debbie, of Westland, and Sandy Murphy and her husband, Dave, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; six grandchildren; four step- grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, and an infant child. The funeral service will be at noon on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at the Ramsey Funeral Home in Harbor Beach. Interment will be Wednesday at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. on Monday and from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Monday, March 28, 2005 Allison Green Allison Green, 93, of Kingston, died Saturday, March 26, 2005, in Northwood Meadows, Cass City. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2005, in Kingston United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Terry Butters officiating. Interment is in Kingston Cemetery. "Fritz" Damm, 77, of Bay Port, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2005, at St. Mary's Medical Center Hospital in Saginaw. Born in Winsor Township to the late Walter M. and Anna (Elftman) Damm, he was a 1946 Pigeon High School graduate. On July 8, 1950, he was united in marriage to Ruth E. Kretzschmer at the Salem Evangelical United Brethren Church in Pigeon. She survives him. Mr. Damm farmed throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed raising trees, flying, traveling with his motor home, and family camping. He also raised walnuts, which he shared with his family and friends. In addition, he custom-made many woodcraft items. He was a former Farm Bureau member, and from 1975 to 1990, he was a director on the Cooperative Elevator Board. Mr. Damm was an active and faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Pigeon, where he served in many areas, currently serving on the Board of Trustees. In addition to his wife, Ruth, he is survived by four children, Susan Herford and her husband, Arlin, Marcia Wolfe and her husband, David, all of Elkton, Linda Bruce and her husband, Bill, of Unionville, and David Damm and his wife, Carrie, of Bay Port; eight grandchildren: Ryan and his wife, Angela, Scott, Kurt, Chancey, Brandon, Keith, Bradley, and Kaycee; a great-grandson, Connor; two sisters, Lorraine Otto and her husband, Lester, of Pigeon, and Karen Story and her husband, Robert, of Bay City; a brother, Roger Damm and his wife, Saundra, of Gregory; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant son, William Frederick, in 1952. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church in Pigeon, with the Rev. Margaret Passenger, pastor, officiating. Herman, 62, of Sebewaing, died Monday morning, March 28, 2005, at her son's home in Tennessee while under hospice care. She was born September 21, 1942 in Fair Haven Township to the late Albert and Elizabeth (Gyari) Naffien. On February 10, 1962, she was united in marriage to Adam J. Herman at Holy Family Catholic Church in Sebewaing. Ella lived in the Sebewaing area all her life. She had been employed at Scheurer Hospital as a cook for almost 15 years, retiring in 2000. Ella enjoyed her retirement by crocheting and doing crafts. She loved having her grandchildren around and making things for them. Surviving are her husband, Adam; three children, Mark Herman and his wife, Amy, of Petersburg, Tennessee, Teri Southgate and her husband, Brian, of Unionville, and Tom Herman and his wife, Cindy, of Sebewaing; nine grandchildren, Michael and his wife, Jasmine, Nathan and his wife, Nicole, Brittany, Jeffrey, Leah, Megan, Caylah, Angelikah and Andrew; a great grandson, Keegan; her mother-in-law, Mary Herman, of Sebewaing; and a sister, Margaret Baur and her husband, Joe, of Standish. Preceding her in death was a brother, Donald Naffien. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2005, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Sebewaing. The Rev. Fr. Memorials may be given to Highland Rim Hospice at the funeral home. George A. Moore George A. Moore, 75, of Palms, died unexpectedly Monday, March 28, 2005, in the Deckerville Community Hospital. He was born February 27, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Earl and Lillias (North) Moore. He married Miss Rita Biggs on April 12, 1953 in Chicago. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working on gasoline engines. He attended St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Rita, of Palms; two sons, Earl, of Lexington, and Allen (Patricia), of Illinois; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and James; two sisters, Dorothy Gromala and Lillias Majkrzak. Funeral services to celebrate the life of George A. Peruski, 74, of Harbor Beach, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2005, at St. Joseph Oakland Hospital in Pontiac after a long illness. Melvin was born May 6, 1930 in Detroit to the late John and Delphine (Maikrzek) Peruski. He was a graduate of Ubly High School Class of 1949. He retired from the United States Coast Guard in 1973 and retired from Leader Toole Company of Harbor Beach in 2002. He was a former worthy patron of the Ubly Miriam Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, a lifetime member of the American Legion, 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Verona-Huron Lodge 365 of Free and Accepted Masons of Michigan. Melvin is survived by his wife, Shirley (Armstead) Peruski; their children, Jim Peruski and his wife, Dottie, of Alpena, Lila Tomlin and her husband, John, of Ann Arbor, Nancy Peruski, of South Carolina; and Steven Peruski, of Singleton, California; four brothers, Leonard Peruski and his special friend, Jan, of Dearborn Heights, Glenn Peruski and his wife, Geraldine, of Ubly, Virgil Peruski and his wife, Norma, of Ubly, Ervin Peruski and his special friend, Charlene, of Ubly; one sister, Doris Lemke, and her husband, Al, of Ubly; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Peruski, and Kay Peruski, both of Ubly; mother-in-law, Ann Gettel, and her husband, Alvin, of Harbor Beach; sister-in-law, Pat Emming and her husband, Ray, of Harbor Beach; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a step-father, Bernard Kubacki; one brother, Jon "Jack" Peruski; a sister-in-law, Margaret; father-in-law, Percy Armstead; and an infant son. Schroeder, 64, of Sand Point and formerly of Rochester, died Monday, March 28, 2005, in Lapeer County of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Patricia was born March 12, 1941 in Wyandotte to the late Charles and Mary (Dominguez) Yoder. She married Roger H. Schroeder on July 9, 1960 in Allen Park. Pat has vacationed in the Caseville area since her childhood and moved to Sand Point permanently in 2000. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, quilting and skiing. She was a member of a golf league at Hidden Harbor Golf Course and the Quilt Guild in Pigeon. Pat was a proud breast cancer survivor and supported others who still struggled with the disease. Patricia is survived by her husband, Roger; daughter, Cris Platto and her husband, Steven, of Rochester; son, Kurt Schroeder and his wife, Sharon, of Davisburg; and son- in-law, Edward Westrick, of China Township, Michigan; grandchildren, Dillon, Kirsten, Griffin, Leah, Edward, and Michelle; and brothers, Chuck Yoder and his wife, Chris, of Ft. Myers, Florida, and Bob Yoder, of Taylor. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Westrick, on July 19, 2004. Thursday, March 31, 2005 Selma Bambach Selma Bambach, 89, of Filion, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2005, at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. She was born on December 29, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois. She married Nick Bambach on March 9, 1935. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1984. She was a member of the Kinde Presbyterian Church and a member of the Women's Association. She was formerly employed at Hamill Manufacturing and enjoyed quilting. She is survived by one daughter, Joann Pavlik and her husband, William, of Prudenville; three sons, Robert Bambach and his special friend, Diane DeRyckere, of Lake Orion, Jack Bambach and his wife, Carol, of Pulaski, Tennessee, and Eugene Bambach and his wife, Janet, of Mount Pleasant; one brother, Raymond Kolgek and his wife, Lottie, of Sterling Heights; seven sisters, Sophia Balfour, of Rochester, Clara Sanborn and her husband, Burt, of Tecumseh, Francis Murray, of Lakeland, Florida, Ann Protzman and her husband, Steve, of Tavares, Florida, Helen Kurrtti, of Mecosta, Florence Schrader, of Ubly, and Arlene Dailey, of Warren; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Ila Case, of Kinde. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Pete Brooks; and one daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Bambach. Michael Koroleski Michael Koroleski, 79, of Dwight Township, died peacefully at his home with Heartland Hospice and his family at his side on Tuesday, March 29, 2005. Mike was born on January 28, 1926 in Dwight Township, son of the late Michael A. and Catherine (Wadas) Koroleski. He married Joan Kanaby on October 20, 1951 at St. Pancratius Catholic Church in Cass City. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II. He enjoyed bowling, all sports, and loved to dance. He also enjoyed spending time visiting with his family. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dwight Township, where he had belonged to the Holy Name Society. Mike also was a member of the Ushers Club for 25 years. Mike is survived by his wife, Joan; seven children, Doreen Schramski and her husband, Fred, of Kingsley, Diane Ligrow and her husband, Ken, of Auburn, Judy Gelow and her husband, Fred, of Saginaw, Douglas Koroleski and his wife, Terry, of Allen Park, Rodney Koroleski and his wife, April, of Westland, Jamie Iseler and her husband, Stan, of Freeland, and Cheryl Walen, of Grand Rapids; fourteen grandchildren, Rebecca Gilbert and her husband, Joe, Jason Schramski, Sarah and Molly Ligrow, Amanda and Christopher Gelow, Katy and Joshua Koroleski, Rodney Jr., Ryan and Justin Koroleski, and Morgan, Leah, and Dylan Iseler; and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Julia Gilbert; two sisters, Rose Baranski and Helen Yaroch; and many nieces and nephews. Thomas, 39, of Harrison and formerly of Bad Axe, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at his home following an extended illness. He was born on March 7, 1966 in Detroit, son of Emil and Arlene (DiLodovico) Thomas, Jr. He married Lisa Krueger on August 31, 1996 in Fuller's Grove. He enjoyed cooking, barbeques, hunting, fishing, and being with his children. He worked as a chef at various eateries. David held a special place in his heart for all the wonderful friends he had, as well as his family and children. David is survived by his wife, Lisa Thomas, of Harrison; one son, Dustin, Thomas, of Harrison; two daughters, Danielle and Dana Thomas, of Harrison; mother and step-father, Arlene and Bill Johnson, of Warren; in-laws, Sharon and William McIntyre, of Port Austin; two brothers, Richard Thomas and his wife, Kathleen, and Jim Freeman; three sisters, Kristina Reedy, Kathleen Poff, and Lannette Thomas; one sister- in-law, Amy Flannery; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
