Florence M. (Schumacher) Abraham
July 19, 1917 – May 31, 2015
Florence M. Abraham, 97, of Mikado passed away peacefully Sunday morning, May 
31, 2015 at Jamieson Nursing Home.  Florence was born July 19, 1917 in Ruth to 
the late Frank and Helena(Kramer) Schumacher. She married Floyd Abraham in 1938 
and he preceded her in death in 2002.  Florence was an avid quilter for many 
years making special quilts for each of her grandchildren and great 
grandchildren for birthdays, graduations and weddings. She was a member of St. 
Anne's Catholic Church, and Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church lifetime member 
of the Altar Society.

Florence is survived by her children, Ann Marie (Robert) Pawloski, Charlene 
Stojsik, Marlene (Martin) Wachoski, Rosemary (Gregory) DeVito, Barbara (Bruce) 
Meyer, Gary (Ann Glore) Abraham, Paula (Nicholas) Booms and Christopher (Amy) 
Abraham; 23 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; three great-great 
grandchildren, three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and many nieces and 
nephews.  In addition to her husband, Floyd, Florence was preceded in death by 
daughter, Paula Agnes Abraham; son-in-law, Thomas Stojsik; great grandson, Ryan 
Drescher; great granddaughter, Leanne Pawloski; and two brothers, Laverne and 
Henry Schumacher.

Visitation for Florence will take place Friday, June 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. at 
Buresh Funeral Home, 212 West River Rd., Oscoda. Funeral mass will take place 
Saturday, June 6 at 11 a.m. (in-state at 10 a.m.) at St. Anne's Catholic Church 
in Harrisville. Interment will take place on Monday, June 8 at 2 p.m. at Sts. 
Peter and Paul Cemetery in Ruth, Mich. Online condolences may be offered at
