Patricia Ann (Rumptz) Adams    
October 31-1938 – April 3, 2008
Mrs. Patricia Ann Adams, 69, of Kinde and formerly of Ubly, passed away 
Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital after a short illness.  
She was born October 31, 1938 in Ubly to Vivian (Leppek) Rumptz and the late 
Clarence Rumptz.  She married Luther D. Adams April 27, 1967 in Las Vegas.
Patricia was a graduate of Ubly High School.  She moved to Anaheim, California 
and lived there for 20 years where she worked for a few years at General 
Dynamics as an accountant.  She then moved to Springfield, Missouri where 
Patricia and Luther renewed their vows at St. Ann’s Catholic Church.  Patricia 
was the office manager for 15 years at Royal Screen Printing in Springfield.  
Patricia moved back to the Ubly area in 2001 and lived in the Huron County 
area.  She was a current parishioner at St. John’s Catholic Church in Ubly.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 41 years, Luther “Dean” Adams of Kinde; 
her mother, Vivian Rumptz of Ubly; one brother, Michael Rumptz and his wife, 
Linda, of Ubly; six sisters, Joan Jackson and her husband, Robert, of Ubly, 
Marie Grifka of Ubly, Linda Tittjung and her husband, Tony, of Sterling 
Heights, Virginia Bukoski and her husband, Richard, of Lake Orion, Susan Mergl 
of Shelby Township, and Deborah Kulish and her husband, Donald, of Shelby 
Township; and one sister-in-law, Jane Davis and her husband, Michael, of Las 
Vegas.
Patricia was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Rumptz; and one brother-
in-law, Jerry Grifka.

There will be no public visitation for Patricia.  A memorial Mass will be 
scheduled at a later date with burial in the St. John Cemetery in Ubly.  
Cremation has taken place.  Memorials are requested to the American Cancer 
Society. Arrangements are being handled by the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home
