Xavier Alent
November 23, 1888 - July 19, 1964
UBLY Xavier Alent, 75, retired farmer of Paris Township, Huron County, died 
Sunday in his home after a long illness.  Mr. Alent was born November 22, 
1888, in Paris Township, of which he was a lifelong resident.  He and Miss 
Laura Trepkowski were married May 1, 1917, in St. Mary's Church in 
Parisville. 

Mr. Alent is survived by his widow; four sons, Earl Alent, Lincoln Park, 
Mich., Chester Alent, Ubly, David Alent, Bad Axe, and Eugene Alent, Detroit; 
three daughters, Mrs. Sylvester Peruski, Ubly, Mrs. David Peruski, Detroit, 
and Mrs. Steve Ulfig, Ruth; 23 grandchildren, a great grandchild, a half-
brother, David Gwisdalla, Detroit; and three half-sisters, Mrs. Theresa 
Schefka, Mrs. Dominic Polk and Mrs. Adolph Knopka.  

During WWII and the Korean War, his four sons served in all branches of the 
armed including Air Force, Marines,  Army, and Navy. 
Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's 
Catholic Church by Rev. Ignatius Woloszyk.  Burial will be in the Church 
Cemetery.  The remains are in Zinger Funeral Home, Ubly, where the Rosary 
will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday.  Published Times Herald (Port Huron,
