Fredrick Herman Ameling April 9, 1933 - March 14, 1992 Frederick H. Ameling April 9, 1933-March 14. 1992 SOUTH BEND - Frederick Ameling, 58, of Eastmont Drive, died at 8:40 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital. He retired March 1, 1983, from Northern Indiana Public Service Company after 31 years of service. He was born April 9. 1933, in South Bend, and he lived in the area all of his life. On November 12, 1954, in Beckley, West Virginia, he married Patricia Lewis, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Frederick Benson of LaPorte, and Charles Jeffrey and Eric Shaun, both of South Bend; four grandsons: and a brother, Arthur Eugene of South Bend. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Mud Dobbers of NIPSCO, and a lifetime member of DAV, Chapter 6. He was a coach and manager for 11 years at Chet Waggoner Little League. He was named 1969 Coach of the Year. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Methodist Hospital Transplant Unit, Indianapolis.
