Clemens, Michigan May 2016. Cynthia Ellen (Roggenbuck) Anthony June 9, 1958 – May 6, 2016 Cynthia Ellen Anthony, age 57 of Clinton Township, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016. Cindy was born June 9, 1958 to Frederick and Arlene Roggenbuck. She is survived by daughter, Erika Pike; stepdaughters, Catherine (Tim) Hacker and Susan (Tim) Ellis; and grandchildren, Keenan, Cullen, and Emma. She is also survived by her father and stepmother Frederick and Delores Roggenbuck; siblings Amy Roggenbuck, David (Nancy) Roggenbuck, Gary (Cindy) Roggenbuck, Joan (Rolf) Plumhoff, Judith (Jim) Streu, Karen Phillips, Tim (Liz) Roggenbuck, and Sally (Mike) Peters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her husband Fredrick Anthony preceded her in death. Cindy worked at Cadillac Coffee Company for over 30 years and wore a variety of professional hats. She was also active in her community and church, St. Margaret’s of Scotland. She dedicated her life to giving back through community service, including writing monthly letters to homebound seniors, sewing items for community baby showers, and volunteering with Glenmary Home Missioners in rural Appalachia. She helped found the non-profit organization Women in Service to our Communities to be able to continue her work in empowering women to help others. Cindy also made it her mission to be present in the lives of her family, both biological and those she made her family throughout her life. She always enjoyed participating in the major milestones such as graduations and weddings, but also found joy in celebrating smaller events such as achievements, game nights, and cookie baking days. Cindy could usually be found going off on some adventure while wearing a hat. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at St. Margaret’s of Scotland Parish in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM with mass at 10:00 AM. A lunch will follow the mass. Cindy always wanted to celebrate life and to be remembered as the vibrant and active person that she was, rather than focusing on death and mourning the loss. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Women in Service to our Communities or the Glenmary Home Missioners for their mountain ministry work. Published Will & Schwarzkoff Funeral Home Mt.
