Jira Apley, 77
died Sat in Bad Axe Gen Hosp after an extended illness. He was born 
Nov 10, 1866 in St Clair county and had lived in this vicinity for 
44 years. Funeral services will be held Tues at 2 p.m. at the MacAlpine 
funeral home, with James Roberts, pastor of the First Meth ch, Bad Axe, 
officiating. Burial will be in Colfax cemetery. Surviving Mr Apley are 
a son, Asa Apley, Bad Axe; 2 daughters, Mrs Minor Edwards and Mrs Harvey 
Krug, Bad Axe and Mrs Nellie Fordon, Detroit; 2 brothers, Wm Apley, 
Owendale and Harvey Apley, Bad Axe; 24 grandchildren and 14 great 
grandchildren.
