Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Leppek. Mrs. Balcer was born December 16, 1886, in Paris Township. She and Mr. Balcer were married in 1906. They farmed in Sigel Township all their married life. He died in 1937. Mrs. Balcer was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church. She is survived by a son, Walter Balcer, Port Huron, and a daughter, Mrs. Bertha Poss, Austin, Tex.; seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, three brothers, Joseph and William Leppek, both of Ubly, and Henry Leppek, Minden City, and two sisters, Mrs. Martha Paradise and Mrs. Jennie Schubert, both of Port Huron. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Lake Huron Church by Rev. Cornelius N. McEachin. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lake Huron Cemetery. The remains are in Burton E. Ramsey Funeral Home where Father McEachin will recite the Rosary at 8 p.m. Sunday.
