Xavier Balcer
November 7, 1881 - December 17, 1937
Harbor Beach, Dec. 18 Xavier Balcer, 56, resident of Huron county all his 
life, died today in Tucson, Ariz., where he was taking treatments.  The 
remains will be taken to the family home in Sigel township, Huron county, 
Tuesday.  Funeral arrangements have not been completed.  Mr. Balcer is 
survived by his widow, a daughter, Miss Bertha Balcer, Port Huron, two sons, 
Walter Balcer, Marysville, and Alex Balcer, Harbor Beach, and four 
grandchildren.

Ubly, Dec. 22. -  The body of Xavier Balcer, 56, was brought to his home in 
Ubly Tuesday afternoon from Tucson, Ariz., where he died.  Funeral services 
will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the family residence.  Burial will be in 
Rock Falls cemetery.  Because of ill health, Mr. Balcer left Ubly, December 
9, for Tucson, where he intended to remain.  He arrived in Arizona December 
15, and died in Tucson two days later.  Mr. Balcer was born November 7. 
1881, in Paris township, Huron county. 

He Is survived by his widow, two sons, Walter Balcer, Port Huron, who 
accompanied him to Tuscon, and Alex Balcer, Sigel township; a daughter. Miss 
Bertha Balcer, Port Huron.  Brother, John Balcer, Paris township, two 
sisters, Mrs. Teofil Duda, Sigel township, and Mrs. Paul Duda, Lincoln 
township and four grandchildren.  Published Times Herald (Port Huron,
