Lawrence G. Banker June 5, 1935 - January 1, 2010 Lawrence G. Banker, age 74, of Harbor Beach, passed away Friday, January 1 2010 at his. home under hospice care with his family at his side. He was bom on June 5, 1935 in Harbor. Beach to the late Frank and Adele (Schroeder) Banker. Larry and Alberta Koehn were united in marriage in August of 1968 in Harbor Beach. Larry served in the U.S. Army. Larry worked for the A&P Grocery store for 24 years, and worked for the GD. Searle & Nutrasweet Company for 22 years, retiring in 1997. Larry was an avid golfer as he was a member of the Harbor Beach Men’s League for many years. He was a sports enthusiast, being on the the Carlings Baseball Team, the Carlings Bowling Team, and toe Strogh’s Softball Team. He enjoyed going to the Detroit Tigers and watching soccer games with his three grand-daughters: Emily, Abby, and Megan of whom he visited daily. He is survived by his wife Alberta Banker of Harbor Beach, and his children: Lennie Mobley and her husband Rick of Spring Valley, Illinois, Sue Keeley and her friend Andy Polishuk of North Branch, Patrick Banker and his friend Lori Lovejoy, of Harbor Beach, Connie Wolschleger and her husband Raymond of Harbor Beach, Bill Tenbusch of Harbor Beach, Allen Banker of Harbor Beach, Judy Pawlowski and her husband John of Harbor Beach, and Michael Banker of North Branch. Thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Two Brothers: Doug Banker and his wife Rose of Sandusky, Wayne Banker and his wife Pat of Riverside, California, and Three Sisters: Marlene Janderwski and her friend Terry of Florida, Janet Phelps and her husband Herb of Howell, and Kathy Banker, of Harbor Beach. Larry was preceded in death by a granddaughter Nicole Wolschleger. Cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory of Bay City. A memorial service for Larry was held on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 4 pm in the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach, with High Priest William Wells officiating. A gathering of friends was at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 2 pm until time of services at 4. Memorials may be given to toe Family Discretionary Fund.
