Charles J Becking
Funeral services too place Mon for Charles J Becking, 74, who passed away at 
Hubbard Memorial hospital, Bad Axe, Fri after a 5 day illness. Mr Becking was 
born Sept 3, 1885 in Sheridan twp and had been a lifelong resident of that twp. 
He was a member of Our Savior Luth ch, Bad Axe and was very active in the 
construction of the present church. Charles was also a past elder, a WWI 
veteran, school director of Becking No 1, Sheridan twp for 31 years and a 
highway commissioner many years. Mr Beckings wife, Martha, passed away April 8, 
1958. Survivors are one son, Robert Becking, Bad Axe; one daughter, Mrs Harold 
Bannick, Bad Axe; six grandchildren, one sister, Mrs Mary Stauer, Elkton. 
Funeral services at Our Savior Luth ch. Burial was in Colfax cemetery.
