She was born on March 5, 1938 in Harbor Beach, Michigan. She is preceded in death by her husband, Macklin J. Bell; parents, Clarence and Laura (Scholtz) Booms; and siblings, Judy, Marilyn, Clarice, Barbara, Kenny, Steven, Gene and Jimmy. Ramona is survived by her loving children, Christopher Bell (Veronica), Fern Miller (Jimmy), Brendan Bell (Patricia), Kevin Bell, Stephen Bell (Christine), Yon Hui Bell (Alvaro) and Hae Jung Tonnessen (Tonnee); siblings, Charlotte, Matilda, Warren, Albert and Robert; 14 grandchildren, Alesandra, Danielle, Talitha, Corey, Kelsea, Christine, Tony, Kalin, Christopher, Nyomi, Elias, Emilio, Eric and Alex; 4 great-grandchildren, Ripley, Elin, Gregory and Emersyn; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ramona graduated from Providence Hospital of Nursing in Detroit, Michigan on September 11, 1959. She married on August 20, 1960, and with her husband and children, lived in England, Arizona, and West Germany before moving to San Antonio in 1974. She retired from Wilford Hall Medical Center on April 2, 2007. A consummate nurse and mother, Ramona lived her life with dedication and discipline. Visitation will be Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South.
