Macklin James Bell
April 25, 1933 – February 23, 1989
Macklin Bell died Thursday, February 23 in San Antonio, Texas.  He was born 
April 25, 1933 in Grindstone, son of James and Fern (Chesney) Bell.  He married 
Ramona Booms, August 20, 1960 in Helena.  He was a 1952 graduate of Harbor Beach 
Community School.  

He is survived by his wife, Ramona; four sons, Christopher with the U.S. Navy in 
Hawaii, Brendan, North Carolina, Keven, with U.S. Navy in Florida and Stephen, 
at home; three daughters, Mrs. Fern Miller of Ingleton, Texas; Yon Hui and Hae 
Jung, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Eileen DeFrain, Harbor Beach and Mrs. Elaine 
Nedrick, Berea, Ohio.

He retired from the U.S. Air Force July 1986.  Military services were conducted 
Monday in San Antonio, Texas.  Published Harbor Beach Times Thursday March 9, 
1989.
