William G. Bishop
July 6, 1917 – August 3, 2011
William G. Bishop Riley Township William G. Bishop, 94, went to be with his 
Lord on Wednesday, August 3, 2011. He was born in Riley Township on July 6, 
1917, a son to the late George and Nellie (Fitz) Bishop.  Bill married Beatrice 
A. Booms on June 14, 1947 in First Baptist Church of Goodells.  Mr. Bishop was 
a longtime area farmer and had also been employed as a machinist in several 
factories.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Goodells and had also 
been a member of the Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA).  Bill enjoyed 
deer and pheasant hunting. 

Surviving are his dear wife, Beatrice; children, Sue Anne (Tony) Kilian of 
Emmett and Gary Bishop of Goodells; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 
a great-great granddaughter; brothers, Jack Bishop, Sr. and Frank Bishop; his 
sister, Ruth Eagling; and his favorite pet (cat) Snoopy.  Bill was preceded in 
death by two sisters and 2 brothers. 

Services will take place on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Kammeraad Funeral Home, 
Memphis, with Pastor Randall E. Clark officiating.  Interment will follow in 
Memphis Cemetery.  Bill’s family will welcome visitors in the funeral home on 
Friday 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday 10 – 11 a.m. Memorials, in lieu of
