Mary Ann Booms, 63, of Harbor Beach, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 
Covenant Medical Center in Saginaw.  She was born on January  4, 1947 in 
Saginaw, to the late John and Stella (Duhuski) Pawlanta. She and David Booms 
were united in marriage on November 2, 1968 in Saginaw.  Mary Ann was an 
active member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church.  She loved listening 
to music, especially polkas, dancing, being with her friends and family and 
loved her dog Wiggles. She will be remembered for her laughter and smile.

She is survived by her husband David Booms of Harbor Beach; and their 
children, Matthew Booms and his wife, Jennifer, of Port Hope, Kelly Hadd and 
her husband, Timothy, of Bay City, and Fr. Andrew Booms of Port Austin; five 
grandchildren, Colin, Alexis and Brianna Booms, David and Katelynn Hadd; two 
brothers, Eugene Pawlanta and his wife, Lona, of Waters and Ronald Pawlanta of 
Saginaw; sister-in-law, Carol Pawlanta; and many brother and sister-in-laws.

Funeral Mass for Mary Ann will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 2010 in Our 
Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church with Fr. Jose Cabrera and Fr. Andrew Booms 
officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation for Mary 
Ann will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor 
Beach, and at 9:30 a.m. on Monday until time of services in the church. A 
Parish Vigil Service will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral 
home.  Memorials may be given to the Family Discretionary Fund.
