Scott David Booms
April 9, 1975 – November 30, 2008
SCOTT D. BOOMS SCOTT DAVID BOOMS, age 33 of Harbor Beach passed away Sunday, 
November 30, 2008 at Harbor Beach Community Hospital.  Scott was born on April 
9, 1975 in Harbor Beach to Daniel and Marjorie (Lemanski) Booms.  He and 
Michelle Rick were united in marriage on November 10, 1994 in Helena.  Scott 
loved bowling, hunting, hockey, fishing, and practicing sports with the kids 
especially baseball, softball and soccer.  He was the foreman for Booms 
Construction and was a member of St. Anthony`s Catholic Church of Helena, and a 
member of St. Anthony`s Men`s Club. 
He is survived by his wife Shelly, children, Cody James Booms, Nicole Sue 
Booms, Derek Matthew Booms and Alicia Marie Booms all of Harbor Beach; parents 
Dan and Marge Booms of Harbor Beach, brothers; Gary Booms and his wife Terra of 
Harbor Beach, and Rick Booms and his wife Rachel of Ruth;  sisters; Sally Hazel 
of Harbor Beach and Sandy Behnke and her husband Robert of Bad Axe; his mother-
in-law and father-in-law Mike and Sue Rick of Harbor Beach; brother-in-law Matt 
Rick and his wife Stacy of Bad Axe; grandparents Leona Lemanski, Al & Sal Rick, 
and Donna Roberts; nieces and nephews; C.J. Hazel, Danielle Booms, Camryn 
Booms, Garrison Booms, Mason Booms, Reese Booms, Nolan Rick, Noelle Rick and 
Nate Rick.  Scott was preceded in death by his brother Daniel F. (Danny) Booms, 
Jr. in 1995. 

Funeral Mass for Scott will be Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 11 am in St. 
Anthony`s Catholic Church of Helena, with Fr. Peter Nwokoye officiating.  
Cremation will take place following the funeral at Sunset Valley Crematory, Bay 
City.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation for Scott will be 
Tuesday from 1-9pm in the Ramsey Funeral Home, Inc. of Harbor Beach, and on 
Wednesday in the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30am.  A Men`s Club Rosary 
Service will take place Tuesday at 7:30 pm in the funeral home. Memorials may 
be given to his children`s scholarship fund.
