Theresa (Wolschlager) Booms  
April 10, 1874 - March 10, 1961
Mrs. Theresa Booms, 86, widow of Herman Booms and resident nearly 80 years of 
Huron County, died Friday after a brief illness in the home of her niece, Mrs. 
Stewart Kramer, with whom she lived the last four years.  Born April 10, 1874, 
in Germany, Mrs. Booms came when she was seven years old to Huron County.  She 
and Mr. Booms were married November 1893 in SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in 
Ruth.  He died August 3, 1956.  Mrs. Booms was a member of Confraternity of 
Christian Mothers of SS. Peter and Paul Church. 

She is survived by two brothers, Paul Wolschleger, Cleveland, and Michael 
Wolschleger, Harbor Beach, and many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will 
be conducted at 9:30 a. m. Monday in SS. Peter and Paul Church by Rt. Rev. Msgr. 
Frank W. Kaufmann.  Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.  The remains are in 
Zinger Funeral Home, Ruth, where Monsignor Kaufmann will recite the Rosary at 
3:15 p. m. Sunday.   Published Port Huron Times Herald Sat. March 11, 1961.
