Wilfred Charles Booms
January 29, 1906 - March 20, 1988
Wilfred C. Booms, 82, Harbor Beach, died Sunday, March 20, 1988, at his home 
after a short illness.  He was born January 29, 1906, in Sherman Township, son 
of the late John and Elizabeth (Bischer) Booms.  He married Estella Essenmacher 
June 4, 1930 at Sts. Peter. & Paul Catholic Church, Ruth.  Mr. Booms was a 
parishioner of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Helena, and farmed for many years 
in Sand Beach Township. 

Surviving are his wife, Estella, Harbor Beach; four sons. Gerald Booms, Ubly, 
Charles Booms, Colorado, Dennis Booms, Wisconsin, and Harry Booms, Harbor Beach; 
four daughters, Mrs. Edward (Marjorie) Messing and Mrs. Willard (Sheila) 
Messing, both of Minden City, Sister Evelyn Booms, Monroe, Mrs. Earl (Joann) 
Ginther, Ruth; 37 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Arthur 
Booms, Leroy Booms, Bernard Booms and Leonard Booms, all of. Harbor Beach; seven 
sisters, Mrs. Loretta Dropewski, Port Hope, Mrs. Alma Messing, Ruth, Mrs. 
Bernetta Messing, Minden City, Mrs. Rosaline Messing, Mrs. Emma Geiger, Mrs. 
Margaret Maurer and Mrs. Clara Roggenbuck. all of Harbor Beach.  He was preceded 
in death by two brothers. 

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.  The Rev. 
Stephen Fillion, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  
A scripture service was held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ramsey Funeral Home, Harbor 
Beach.  A rosary was offered at 8 p.m. "Tuesday by St. Mary's Men's Club of 
Parisville at the funeral home.  Published Minden City Herald Thursday March 24,
