Theresa (Lautner) Booms
November 14, 1901 - August 16, 1969
Mrs. Theresa Booms 67, wife of Roman Booms and a lifelong resident of Huron 
County, died Saturday night in Hubbard Memorial Hospital after a long illness.  
Mrs. Booms was born November 14, 1901 in Sherman township.  She and Mr. Booms 
were married November 5, 1924. They lived the last four years in Bad Axe.  Mr. 
Booms is owner of Booms Construction Company.  Mrs. Booms was a parishioner of 
Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of Fidelis Regina Circle No. 608, 
Daughters of Isabella.

She is survived by her husband, six sons, Floyd and Clifford, both of Bad Axe; 
Herbert, Reed City; Alvin and George, both of Minden City; and Daniel, Harbor 
Beach; two daughters, Mrs. Jerome Essenmacher, Carsonville, and Mrs. Joseph 
Kannikal, Royal Oak; 21 grandchildren, two brothers. Joseph Lautner, Harbor 
Beach, and George Lautner, Port Huron, and a sister, Mrs. Herman Oswald, Minden 
City. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Church by 
Rev. Robert G. Navarre.  Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, near Helena.  
The remains are in Aiden A. MacAlpine Funeral Home where wake services will be 
conducted at 8 p.m. today by Father Navarre and 8:30 p.m. by Daughters of 
Isabella.  Published Port Huron Times Herald  Monday August 18, 1969.

Note:  Born to Joseph & Catherine (Artman) Lautner.  Married Roman in Sts. Peter 
and Paul Catholic Church in Ruth.  Daughters:  Norma Essenmacher & Marie Kannikal
