Shirley Ann (Oswald) Booms
December 18, 1944 - April 2, 1986
Shirley Ann Booms, 41, Sand Beach Township, died Wednesday, April 2 at Henry 
Ford Hospital, Detroit, after a long illness.  She was born December 18, 1944 in 
Delaware Township, daughter of the late Raymond and Sarah (Stroschein) Oswald.  
She married Robert Booms.  She was a graduate of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic 
School, Ruth, and St. Mary's Hospital Nursing School, Saginaw.  She was a 
parishioner at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, Harbor Beach; religious 
education teacher at the church; a member of the church altar society; and a 
member of the home and school council. 

Surviving are her husband, Robert; four daughters, Jennifer, Jacqueline, Rebecca 
and Sara, all at home; one son, Christopher Booms at home; five brothers, John 
Oswald, Remus, the Rev. Raymond Oswald, Harbor Beach, James Oswald, Palms, 
Robert Oswald, St. Clair Shores, and Richard Oswald, Minden City; and one 
sister, Mrs. Gerald (Mary) Messing, Minden City.

Services were 10 a.m. Saturday, at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, 
Harbor Beach. Rev. Oswald officiated with burial in the church cemetery. 
Arrangements were directed through the Ramsey Funeral Home.  Published Harbor 
Beach Times Thursday April 10, 1986.
