April 6, 2009 HURON DAILY TRIBUNE
Wilburt J. Brown, 77, of Bad Axe, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009 at his 
home in Bad Axe.  He was born April 16, 1931 in Bad Axe, son of the late 
William Earl and Rachel (Smith) Brown.  He married Mary Ann Trepkowski June 22, 
1957 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rapson.  Wilburt worked for Michigan Bell 
for nearly 30 years.  He was a member of the Bad Axe High School “Class of 
1950.”  He served in the U.S. Army.  He especially enjoyed camping with his 
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Brown of Bad Axe; three sons, David 
(Lennea) Brown of Bad Axe, Mark (Diane) Brown of Bad Axe and Matthew (Karen) 
Brown of Bad Axe; one daughter, Bonnie (Marc) Bridson of Bad Axe; eight 
grandchildren, Michael (Melissa) Brown, Tamara (Aaron) Talaski, Jonathan 
(Talisa) Brown, Christopher (Alissa) Brown, Jessica Brown, Nathan Brown and 
friend, Courtney Gilbert, Ashley (Paul II) Streussnig and Ryan Brown; four 
great-grandchildren, Blake Talaski, Kaden Brown, Balie Talaski, and Bradie 
Talaski.

Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Officiating will be Fr. Rob Howe, pastor. Burial 
will be in Colfax Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday at 
Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe, or from noon until the service time at 2:30 
p.m. Tuesday at the church. A scripture service will be offered at 7 p.m.
