Brzeczkiewicz March 22, 1928 - October 10, 2009 Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away Saturday, October 10, 2009 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Hospital. Age 81 years. Son of the late Frank and Mary (Grenkowski) Brzeczkiewicz, Eugene was born March 22, 1928 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952. Eugene married Dolores A. Trepkowski on May 22, 1954. She survives him. Eugene was employed as a car man at CSX Railroad for 43 years and retired in 1990. He was a member of SS. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #593 and charter member of Bridgeport Gun Club. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting and camping. Surviving besides his wife Dolores are six daughters, one son and their spouses, Diane and Jeff Rath, Colorado; Barbara Remer and Greg Barnese, Midland; Catherine and Bill Smith, Mt. Morris; Rosanne and Dennis Stawowy, Sterling; Thomas and Kathleen Brzeczkiewicz, Saginaw; Marilyn and Trent LeCuyer, North Carolina; Ann and David Rutkowski, Caro; 22 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his sister, Loretta Godi, Saginaw; his brother, Tony and Rita Brink, Lansing; many nieces and nephews. Eugene was preceded in death by a son- in-law, Drew K. Remer, two sisters and two brothers, Alice Reising, Sister Theodore Mary Brzeczkiewicz, Ed and Dave Brink. Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2009 at SS. Simon and Jude Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. John Mancini, OSFS will officiate. Burial will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Military Services conducted by American Legion Post #439. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at SS. Simon and Jude Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. The Knights of Columbus Council #593 will pray the Rosary at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday and a Vigil Service will take place 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
