Marlene Irene (Rutkowski) Bukowski December 14, 1939 - December 22, 2023 Marlene Irene Bukowski, 84, of Metamora died unexpectedly Friday, December 22, 2023. Marlene was born December 14, 1939, at the house in Ubly, Michigan to Stanley and Frances (Osentoski) Rutkowski. She was the valedictorian at Ubly High School, class of 1957. During school she was active in band and cheerleading. She married Ronald Bukowski on November 8, 1958, in Ubly. Marlene (& Ron) raised seven kids - family was her focus. She was the best Mom any child could ask for. As the kids grew older Marlene found time to work outside the home as well. She worked a while for Wiser Oil in Metamora but eventually worked many years and retired from MSP (Michigan Special Products) in Oxford. In her spare time Marlene kept beautiful vegetable & flower gardens and loved mowing the lawn. She was an avid reader, loved the Detroit Tigers, and adored knitting - she often donated her knitting items to charities or simply gave them as gifts. Her kindness was a product of Marlene living the gospel. Marlene was a devout catholic.
