These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations. _____________________________________________________________________ Wilbur J Beach Bad Axe, Nov 17 - Wilbur J Beach, 75, former attorney here, members of a family prominent in legal circles in the Thumb nearly 3 quarters of a century, died Thurs in the home of his son, Dr Watson Beach, in Grosse Pointe, after a long illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sun in the William T Collon funeral home here. Rev G Moore Morgan, pastor of St Paul's Episcopal ch, will officiate. Burial will be in the Lexington cemetery. Mr Beach was a son of the late Watson Beach, who served as judge for the Huron Sanilac circuit about 40 years before he retired in 1924. Judge Beach died in 1927. Mr Beach's son, Frederick S Beach, is engaged in practice of law in Bad Axe. Besides his 2 sons, Mr Beach is survived by 2 daughters, Miss Elinore Beach, NY and Mrs Ray Bemis Royal Oak; 2 grandchildren and 2 brothers, John, Elroy, IL and George E, Tampa FL. Mr Beach was born Sept 28, 1869 in Lexington and lived all his life in the Thumb. For many years, he served as court reporter in his father's court. He was later associated with X A Boomhower, now circuit judge, in the practice of law and with his father after he left the bench. Until he retired because of ill health, he and his son formed the firm of Beach and Beach here. Huron Tribune Date unknown
