Joseph Booms
Harbor Beach, Jan 6 (1944) - Joseph Booms, Sr, 71, father of Joseph Booms, 
Jr, supervisor of Sand Beach twp, died unexpectedly Sat afternoon in his 
home south of here. Funeral services will be in St Anthony's Cath ch, Helena. Arrangements have not been completed. Mr Booms is survived by his widow, 
Mrs Matilda Booms; 3 sons, Clarence, Alan and Joseph Booms, all of Harbor 
Beach; 7 daughters, Mrs John Terbrack and Mrs Stuart Kramer, both of Ruth, 
and Mrs Cyril Essenmacher, Mrs Clarence Wehner and Mrs John Schultz, all 
of Harbor Beach; Mrs Elmer Ramesch (Ramsek?), Palms, and Miss Frances Booms, 
who lives with her parents; 57 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; 4 
brothers, Barney, Cleveland, Henry and Herman, both of Ruth and John, Harbor 
Beach. Mr Booms was born May 15, 1873, in Nashville, TN. He went to Cleveland 
when a boy and came to his farm near here 50 years ago.
