The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. _____________________________________________________________________ Mrs Matilda Booms, 84, widow of the late Joseph Booms, Sr., died early Fri morning at her farm home in Sand Beach township after a long illness. The former Matilda Wolschlager was born May 10, 1876 in Germany and came to the U S with her parents at the age of 5. She and Joseph Booms were married in Harbor Beach Nov 24, 1897. Mr Booms died in 1945. The couple spent their entire married life on the farm in Sand Beach twp. Mrs Booms was a member of St Anthony Cath ch, Helena and a member of the altar society. Survivors are 2 sons, Allen and Clarence, both of Harbor Beach; 6 daughters, Mrs Cecilia Terbrack, Mrs Mary Kramer, both of Ruth, Mrs Sarah Essenmacher, Carsonville, Mrs Florence Ramish, Palms, Mrs Helen Scholtz, Harbor Beach and Miss Francis Booms, Harbor Beach; 78 grandchildren and over 50 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Mrs Theresa Booms, Harbor Beach and 2 brothers, Paul Wolschlager, Cleveland and Michael Wolschlager, of Helena. Remains will be removed from the Morgan funeral home to the Booms farm residence. Funeral services will take place at St Anthony Cath ch Mon at 9 a.m. with burial in the church cemetery.
