(Glaza) Michalski Chinoski June 10, 1922 – July 12, 2018 Margaret A. Chinoski, 96, of Ubly passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Meadow Lane Assisted Living in Bad Axe. She was born on a farm north of Ubly on June 10, 1922 to the late Frank X. and Theresa (Gwizdalla) Glaza. She was the fifth child in a family of eight. Marge attended the Wadsworth Country School and graduated from Ubly High School in 1939. After graduation, she worked for Dr. H.W. Laidlaw family until she married Clarence Michalski on May 10, 1941 at St. John Catholic Church in Ubly by Rev. Stanley Kilar. They then farmed in Parisville until Clarence died on Feb. 24, 1974, after 33 years of marriage. They had one son, Kenneth, born June 20, 1943, and died June 7, 1997. Marge worked at Clement Manufacturing in Deckerville for over 11 years and retired from Hamill Manufacturing in Bad Axe. She married Ambrose Chinoski on March 19, 1976 at St. Mary's Chapel by Rev. Stanley Surman. They resided in Parisville for 31 years. Ambrose passed away on June 29, 2007. She loved china painting, quilting, traveling to casinos, playing bingo and playing cards with family and friends. She loved watching the Detroit Tigers play ball. Marge was a parishioner of St. Isidore Parish, St. Mary Catholic Church where she was a member of the St. Isidore Rosary Sodality. She proudly worked many dinners and picnics for the church. Marge is survived by four step children G. Harvey Chinoski of New Baltimore, James and Georgiann Chinoski and Beverly and William McCarty of Ubly, Herbert and Janice Chinoski of Leonard; one daughter-in-law Mildred Gosdzinski of Plymouth; 12 step-grandchildren Jeffrey Chinoski, David Chinoski, Donna Gorzelski, Julie Rieger, Angel Schornack, Matt Leasure, Travis Chinoski, Scott McCarty, Brian McCarty, Lynette Barenboym, Ryan Chinoski, Keith Chinoski; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters Delores Dapkus of Saline, Genevieve (Ronald) Gorang of Modesto, California; one sister-in-law Doris Glaza of Lansing; one brother-in-law John Antos of Shelby Township; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law Beatrice Chinoski; two sisters Susan (Deachin) Tschirhart and Mildred Antos; three brothers Stanley R. Glaza, John Glaza and Edward Glaza; sisters-in-law Edna Glaza, Gert Glaza, Margaret (Robert) Wrubel, Lucy (Sylvester) Bukowski; and brothers-in-law Robert Deachin, Reynold Tschirhart, Feliz Dapkus, Ray (Noella) Chinoski. In keeping with Margaret's wishes, cremation had taken place. The memorial mass of celebration for Margaret Chinoski will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21 at St. Mary Catholic Church, St. Isidore Parish in Parisville, Rev. Todd Arnberg, pastor, will officiate. Visitation with Margaret's family will be from 10 a.m. until the mass at 11 a.m. Saturday Memorials have been requested to St. Isidore Parish.
