Chinoski, 90, of Parisville, passed away Friday, June 29, 2007 at the Huron County Medical Care Facility of Bad Axe. Ambrose was born on October 7, 1916 in Parisville to the late John and Anna (Oberski) Chinoski. He married Josephine Grifka on November 13, 1937 in Detroit. She preceded him in death in August 1967. He then married Margaret Michalski on March 19, 1976 at St. Mary Chapel in Parisville. Ambrose was a graduate of the St. Mary Elementary School. He worked on the family farm until 1936. He then worked for the Packard Motor Car Company until 1944 when he moved back to Parisville to farm again. Ambrose worked for Booms Construction in Bad Axe, for Martin Fisher Builders for 15 years and for Chinoski Construction for a few years. He was a life-long member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville where he sang in the choir for 35 years. He was a trustee for Paris Township for 35 years. Ambrose enjoyed playing cards, dancing, gardening and traveling to the casinos. Ambrose is survived by his wife of 31 years, Margaret of Parisville; four children, Harvey Chinoski and his wife, Beatrice, of New Baltimore, James Chinoski and his wife, Georgiann of Ubly, Beverly McCarty and her husband, Bill, of Ubly, Herbert Chinoski and his wife, Janice, of Leonard; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Wrubel of Sterling Heights; one step- daughter-in-law, Mildred Gosdzinski and her husband, George, of Ruth. Ambrose was preceded in death by one step-son, Kenneth Michalski; one brother, Raymond Chinoski; one sister, Lucille Bukowski. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville. The Rev. Jerzy Dobosz, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 9 p.m. today at Zinger- Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. The Ubly Fire Department will pay their respects at 6:30 p.m. today and there will be a parish vigil service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church.
