Mr Clark was born June 8, 1880 in Speaker twp, Sanilac county. He is survived by his widow, Mrs Gertrude Clark; one daughter, Mrs Joseph Hinsberg, Detroit; and one son, Donald Clark, Bad Axe; and two brothers, George M Clark, Caseville and Oliver Clark, Flint; Funeral services were conducted in Sacred Heart Cath ch Thurs morning. Rev Fr Charles Roark officiated. Burial was in Colfax cemetery. In 1881 Mr. Clark came to Bad Axe. He was graduated from the Bad Axe high school. From 1898 to 1912 he was employed by the Pere Marquette Railway and was a conductor on the Bad Axe, Saginaw division when he resigned. In the period 1912 to 1914, he operated a bank in Brimley. He returned to Bad Axe in 1914 to become a member of the Bad Axe Lumber Co in which he was active until 1941 when the business was closed. Mr Clark had been associated with his brother, Oliver Clark and a nephew, Crosby Clark, in a Flint store fixture firm since 1941. He was instrumental in organizing the Verona Hills Golf club and was the first president of the group. He was a charter member of the Bad Axe Rotary club and served as its president.
