Gabriel Benedict Clor
March 24, 1928 – December 8, 1998
Gabe Clor, age 70, of Caseville died Thursday, December 8, at his home of a 
probable heart attack.  He was born March 24, 1928 in Harbor Beach to the late 
Joseph and Clare (Messing) Clor.  After leaving the family farm near 
Forestville, Mr. Clor served in the Coast Guard on the Great Lakes.  At one 
time he owned Gabe’s Sinclair Service Station in Forestville.  He worked fro 
Marlette Mobile Homes from 1929 to 1964 and in 1971 retired from his job as a 
welder at Ranke, Inc. in Roseville where he had been employed since 1965.  Mr. 
Clor moved from Sterling Heights to Caseville in 1987.  He was a member of St. 
Roch Catholic Church in Caseville, and a member of the Caseville Eagles.

Surviving are four daughters, Linda Clor of Macomb Township, Gloria (Arnie) 
Abrott of Granit Bay, California, Marsha Lee of Romeo and Lisa (John) Flanigan 
of Sterling Heights; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Andrea, Mitchell, Shannon, 
Jacob, Bradley and Sarah; four sisters, Marie (Lawrence) Klee, Regina (Jean) 
LaVerne, Joann (Lewis) Slavick, and Patricia Clor and three brothers, Fabian 
(Laura Jane), Benjamin (Ilene), and Gerald (Priscilla).  One brother, Luke, 
preceded him in death.

Eagle Services will be 6:00 PM Wednesday at Champagne Funeral Home, 
Caseville.  A funeral mass will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, December 10, 
at St. Roch Catholic Church, Caseville,  Rev. Fr. Dennis Kucharczyk, pastor 
will officiate with burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Forestville.  
Memorial may be given to St. Roch Catholic Church.
