Clor, 71, of Port Huron, died Saturday, June 18, 1988, in Mercy Hospital after a short illness. He was born September 14, 1916 in Minden City. He was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Clor was married to Marie Heilig in SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ruth. Mr. Clor retired in 1986 after 21 years of plant manager for Greif Brothers Corp., Marysville, making industrial wood products. As manager at Greif, he was exemplary in his belief of integration of the handicapped in the industrial workplace. For many years he was a diary operator for the former Roth's Diary in Port Huron. Prior to that he was a butter maker and owned and operated creameries in Ruth and Port Huron. He served with the U.S. Army in World War II and received several decorations for service in the South Pacific. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Judi) Fraelich of Port Huron and Mrs. Kenneth (June) Pond of Marysville; one son, Samuel E. Clor of Port Huron; two sisters, Mrs. John (Adeline) Selke of White Rock and Mrs. Anthony (Charlotte) Seidl of Detroit; one brother, Thomas Clor of Ruth; two sister-in-laws, Mrs. Celestine Clor of Harbor Beach and Mrs. Daniel Clor of Minden City; one grandson, Ben Fraelich; three granddaughters, Toni Fraelich, Tina Pond and Jill Pond; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave., at 17th Street, two blocks east of Mueller Brass Co., Port Huron. The Rev. Robert B. Koenig, pastor of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in SS Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Ruth.
