Roman (Cook) Kucharczyk
November 20, 1898 - April 19, 1954
Once Parisville Businessman, Dies 
Parisville, April 20 - Roman "Cook" Kucharczyk, 55, lifelong resident of 
Paris Township and former businessman here, died unexpectedly Monday 
afternoon in Cook's hotel, where he lived.  Mr. Kucharczyk was born November 
20, 1896 in Paris Township.  He operated a garage here 35 years and also 
managed Cook's hotel five years prior to the death, March 2, 1946, of his 
wife, Clara. He is survived by two sons, First Lt. Eugene C. Kucharczyk, 
Johnson Air Force Base, Tokyo, and Roman Kucharczyk Jr., Detroit,  four 
grandchildren, his mother Mrs. Frances Cook, Parisville; four sisters, Mrs.  
Alois Susalla and Mrs. Steve Peca, both of Parisville; Mrs. Casimer Kubacki 
Sr., Ubly, and Mrs. Rose Ruhrman, Detroit, and three brothers, Edward Cook, 
Port Hope; Leo Cook, Harbor Beach, and Sylvester Cook, Parisville.  A son, 
Donald, was killed in June, 1953, in an automobile accident. 

Remains are in Zinger's funeral home in Ruth.  Funeral services are set 
tentatively for 9 a,m, Thursday in St, Mary's Catholic church in Parisville 
pending possible return from Tokyo of his son.  Rev. Ignatius Woloszyk will 
officiate Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Published Times Herald

Funeral services for Roman "Cook" Kucharczyk, 55, who died unexpectedly 
Monday, will be conducted at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  
Rev. Ignatius Woloszyk will officiate.  Burial will be in the church 
cemetery. Remains are in Zinger's funeral home in Ruth.  Published Times

Trepkowski November 8, 1921 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Parisville.
