ROSE M. COOPER, age 86 of Harbor Beach, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 at 
Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab Center of the Harbor Beach Community 
Hospital.  Rose was born on November 20, 1927 in Harbor Beach to the late Frank 
and Alice (Butchkowski) Mazure.  Rose and Gordon Cooper were united in marriage 
on November 23, 1949 in Harbor Beach.  He preceded her in death on January 31, 
2008. 

Rose was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church in Harbor Beach, a 
member of the Red Hat Society, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Port Hope 
Retirees and the Harbor Beach Senior Citizens.  She enjoyed playing bingo, and 
visiting with friends and family.

She is survived by her children: Gary Cooper and his wife Mary of Harbor Beach, 
and Debra Will and her husband Randy, Grandchildren: Tracy Eberling and Special 
friend Tom VanDevelde, Randy and Angela Will, and Shelby Cooper and special 
friend Cody Deer, 2 great grandchildren: Zachary and Nathan Eberling. Brothers: 
Ray Mazure of Harbor Beach and Jim and Carol Mazure of Harbor Beach, and 
sisters Gertrude Wolschleger of Harbor Beach, Lorraine & Harry Ganse of 
Lancaster, Pennsylvania, sister-in-law Virginia Mazure of Marysville, brother-
in-law Doug and Sylvia Cooper of Bad Axe, and several Nieces and nephews.  Rose 
was preceded in death by a brother Melvin Cooper, brother-in-law Leonard 
Wolschleger, and sister-in-law Barb Mazure. 

Funeral mass for Rose will be Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 11:30 at Our Lady of 
Lake Huron Catholic Church, of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, with Fr. William 
Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation for 
Rose will be Wednesday, from 2-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. 
Visitation on Thursday will be at the church beginning at 10 am until time of 
services at 11:30 am. A Parish Vigil Service will take place Wednesday at 7pm 
at the funeral home.   Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, 
and Heartland Hospice. Memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com
