March 31, 2014 HURON DAILY TRIBUNE
Lillian Sophie Page, 80, passed away March 23, 2014.  Lillian was born to David 
and Christina (Booms) Page on September 12, 1933, the eighth of 14 children.  
She married Robert Cove in 1955.  Robert was killed in a construction accident 
and she met her second husband, Lawrence Ahearn, through Larry’s sister Irene, 
whose husband died in the same construction accident.   Together Lawrence and 
Lillian raised Steven and Debra, along with five more children, Kathy, Janis, 
Jim, Pat, and Tom, and worked the family farm for 28 years.

Lillian’s faith in the Lord Jesus Christ enabled her to cope with debilitating 
depression, colon cancer, congestive heart failure, and dementia.  The family 
will always remember her unique sense of humor and robust laugh, her never 
failing moral compass, her appreciation for God’s daily miracles, and how she 
learned to play the guitar at age 47, including singing “Chocolate Ice Cream,” 
and “Oh how I love Jesus.”

Survivors include six children; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 
seven siblings, Leroy, Bert, Rose, Marion, Clarence, Joe, and Florence.   
Welcoming her in heaven are her daughter, Mary Lynn, who died as a newborn in 
1956; son Tom, who passed away at age 30; and siblings, Raymond, Rita, George, 
Margaret, Romanus, and Marcella.  A special thanks to the Courtney Manor Staff 
for their loving care for the past 13 years.  Memorials may be offered to the
